I got a 336CS for about $500 a couple years back. It?s from 1982. Has that disgusting shellacked stock that was popular back in the day. I?ll either strip it or find a replacement stock.

Resisting the urge to tactical it up. I see no point to that in 30-30, however those that do, I found a company that makes some cool red dot mounts.

I like 30-30 because of history, but after doing a BUNCH of reading about hunting rounds and comparing 30-30 to 45 Colt, I gotta say, I prefer 45 Colt. I have g_man's (rip) 1894 Cowboy in 45 Colt that I have been trying to plan a hunting trip with for some time. I need to make that happen...

Out in Lake Los Angeles visiting friends. Weather is very good right now. No wind, very unusual for Springtime. It's been calm even in the afternoon. That is rare out here.

Dangitt, I have some catching up to do here. And I need to still find an old 1906 tang sight and send it to golfish!

Bought a house and moved and immediately got swamped with work, still living out of boxes. I've shot some 22's off the front porch but not a lever gun yet. Still need to get caught up enough to do that!
