                        That was certainly true back in the day (60s, 70s) but some manufacturers have stepped up to the plate recently. Savage introduced the AccuTrigger which is a huge improvement (I only have one Savage, a .22 target rifle and the trigger is excellent).

                        Browning also took trigger design seriously. I have an A-Bolt II and X-Bolt with adjustable triggers that are quite excellent as well. There are others but I have no experience with them.
