I agree, that does look very nice. They did a good job on the CCH.
I'm patiently waiting for my Henrys with the CCH but nothing yet.

Looking forward to more pics. Everyone likes pics of other peoples guns.
I'm anxious for my Henrys to come in so I can see what the CCH looks like.
I'm considering a .41 magnum for my next lever action. The Big Boy Classic and Big Boy steel frame (no CCH) have that caliber in rifle and carbine.

From my brief time handling my Henry while filling out the paperwork, I’m inclined to say it’s the best value between my Marlin 1894 and this Winchester I just started DROS on.

The Winchester is beautiful, but I’m not sure yet if it’s $1000 more beautiful.

The Winchester is also a competition model with short stroke action. The lever only moves about 30-45*

It is hard to beat a Henry and that's for sure. Even if you set price aside and just consider the quality.
I like Uberti SAs and levers but their levers can be $500 to $600 more than a Henry for similar models but your not getting 35% to 40% more quality.

I have the Uberti copy in .45 Colt, with custom maple grips. I'm looking for another SAA/SAA clone, but this time I want one in either 38-40 or 44-40. I posted pics of mine a while ago, but I'm hoping you folks won't mind if I post it again. :

Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

I looked long and hard at the Ubertis and the only reason I ended up with the Winchester was impulse and wanting the name. I would still love to own an uberti. It would have been nice to be able to see both in person before purchasing but unfortunately that’s not an option.

I just made the pictures bigger for viewing pleasure.

I like pictures so post whatever you like.
I have two Gunfighters in .45 Colt and a Smoke Wagon in .357 magnum but I always want something else. I mentioned that I ordered a second Smoke Wagon. The problem is that Taylor's and Uberti have too many choices on their websites. I haven't even looked into Cimarron Firearms yet but I've read that they import Uberti and Pietta.

I can’t believe Marlin SBL’s are going for $2000+ on GB.

I don’t remember how much they were new but I’m pretty sure they were nowhere near $2k

Yes, it would be nice to see and hold a lever action before buying but they're hardly ever in the stores. I've pretty much accepted the fact that levers and SAs will be special order only.
I like the Uberti SA revolvers that I have and I'm sure I would like their lever actions. I don't want my lever action collection to be all Henrys. I want a variety.
I hear what you're saying about Winchesters. The name is connected to the wild west just as much as Colt. I bought my Model 94 back in the late 90s when they came out with the Trails End in .45 Colt. I recently talked to the manager at my LGS about ordering Winchesters but he said they haven't had very good luck doing that.

Oh my, you guys have been busy...

                              Those are some great guns
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I'm going to have to start looking for some variety in my SAs. As much as I like blued finish with CCH frame I have to look for other styles. There's an engraved Cattleman with a white-heat treated finish that looks like nickel plating. The Ranch Hand is blued with CCH but it has a brass grip frame and trigger guard. The Outlaw Legacy is nickel plated and engraved. These special models are probably hard to find but I may get lucky over time.
The situation is the same with the lever actions but I do have some limits. I always prefer wood stocks and they have to be straight, not with the pistol grip. I like CCH but if I get another steel frame Henry it may be regular blued finish. The Big Boy Steel in .41 magnum sounds like a good choice to me. I could follow that with the Big Boy Steel Side Gate in .44 magnum.
