Nice guns, how do you like the Ruger. I've seen them at Turners.

Beetle Bailey, my shoulder hurts just looking at that ammo. Very nice sir
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Goldfish, I was expecting it to be worse than those 12 gauge 1 oz slugs going 1600 FPS (1 oz = 437.5 grains). But it surprisingly was not too bad. It seemed to kick LESS than a 12 gauge slug! I think the ported barrel really cut down on the recoil.

That Ruger is real fun to shoot. Feels like shooting a cap gun. I got bored of hitting paper so I put down some clay pigeons and was having a blast shootin em into dust.

Cool shot catching the gas escaping from the ports. Have the same rifle, unported though. I've not used the Grizzly ammo but have used the Buffalo Bore, kinda lights things up.

Oh, Lord...... another cowboy gun followed me home. Say "hello" to my new friend - an Uberti knock-off of the Colt 1873 SAA, chambered for .45 Colt. I only have 60 pieces of brass and no dies, so if anyone can help a brother out......

I barely found dies myself two months ago... and some of the men here in the Mojave Lever Crew dispensed some brass. I haven't loaded any, yet, because I've got my hands full elsewhere, and with this particular project my loading bench is being used for other purposes...

I can't wait! to get some more loads built. Good luck to you. When I remember where it was I found a .45 Colt SHELL HOLDER for my press I'll let you know. You might find dies from the same seller.

              Congrats on a neat pistol.

I managed to have an unfired Pietta 1851 follow me home a week or two ago. I stopped off at the local gun haberdashery to browse and window shop, and it was laying there in the glass case calling my name.

It's the buntline version, of course. 10 or 12" barrel, 44 caliber, to go along with my long barrel handgun kick I've been on. It looks great next to the EMF Buntline and the Ruger MkII 10" and the silly lovely 16" 22 SAA clone.

What's next... ?! (besides the Garand that's coming in from the CMP this week... )

If anyone sees any No 10 or 11 caps, or the 30 grain 45 caliber Pyrodex pellets in stock anywhere, let me know. I only have enough left to shoot one or two cylinders! I've got several hundred 44 lead balls.

Uberti sure does make a fine gun and sometimes Taylor's n Co makes them better.
Looking forward to a range report. Does that one have 4 clicks ?

I'll probably hit Phillips this Thursday. If they have any 45lc brass I'll get a few. I can use em if you don't need em.

bigbossman, pm me an address and I'll send a handful of brass your way next week. It won't be much, but I can spare several cylinders worth so you don't have to hit the loading press quite as often.

Found the small bag of brass today while unloading the truck. I'll get it out Monday to ya!

Put 20 loads together and ran up to the BLM land for a quick test. 20 rounds at 15 yards offhand-hand. Shot pretty well.
