I loaded up a couple hundred 45 Colt and a little less than a hundred 444 Marlin last week, and am throwing those, my 45-70, my .255 Dean, and a slew of 22s (1885, Henry, Win 75, Annie 54 Sporter, Annie 64 Sporter, 10" Mk II, and whatever else I find while digging through the shop in the back of the truck and headed out for a day of blasting sometime in the next several days. I'll bring the Rossi 92 and/or the Marlin 1894c if I can stumble across any of my 38 Special also.

Didn't think to take any pictures, but had a heckuva time. 2 and a half day desert camping trip went through almost all the 45, a bunch of the 444, plenty of 38, fire formed a bunch of 25-20 brass for the .255, as well as all the boring semi auto stuff you guys don't care about.

It all happened under a fantastic and unexpected northern lights show too! Sitting around the campfire looking at the sky and it started doing funny stuff. That was a pretty rad couple of hours of night shooting lever and wheel guns at steel targets under the aurora.

          ^ ^ ^ Dagnabbit! if that doesn't sound like a grand time.

I hope to join you along with having several outings of my own when the high desert camping weather window (for me) opens again w/ at least three days of consistent sub-85-degree weather comes again.

          My trailer's almost ready!

I love that country. The 395 Corridor? right? Eastern Sierra, western Mo-Jay-Vee.

                      Sure does look like it...

So back on topic (I know, who cares. I'm the first one to go off topic here ) so we can't buy new lever guns in California that have a tube fed mag that holds more than 10 rds? When did that happen?

I was looking at a 24" Rossi R92 rifle today and they wouldn't ship to California, more than 10rds.

I know, I know...what am I doing looking at a Rossi. I figure my odds are good at getting one that works.

I read on another forum, thats the reason that new T&C model 73 flavored in 9mm is limited to 10rds.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Might just be seller concern without a law actually having been changed.

.22 rimfire rifles with tube fed magazines are (or at least were) exempt from the 10 round max rule. My Marlin 39A holds 17 rounds and is good to go.

I have run into that when trying to order an 1892 deluxe take down 44 mag from Bass Pro on line. It would not accept my online order. I just went to the store and placed my order at the store. They would not take my money until they got the green light from corporate. They then called me and told me to come in with my CC and they then would place the order.

Dan, this was my thinking also. Just cannot keep up with all the wacky Ca. gun laws. Dizzying to say the least.
