I am fortunate that my second oldest grandson lived with us for a while a couple years ago. I got to take him hunting for his first time (just jack rabbits...) and then gifted him with his maternal great grandfathers 94 Winchester and the shotgun he hunted with. Later, I gave a Victory Model S&W .38 SPL, and just recently picked up a Ruger Super Single-Six for him.
I have already passed along some fine firearms to the two my daughter, the Mom of the two boys I will be seeing on Sunday, and her current fiance' hunts birds. So they will be taken care of...it is just the present time that is an issue. He even tried to get their exposure to firearms prohibited in the divorce (just because he can't have one due to domestic violence issues...) but the judge in WA just about laughed him out of the courtroom, refusing to deny my daughter and grandsons their Second Amendment rights.
