He worked at Bolsa Gunsmithing for years, mainly on rifles - accurizing, truing actions, bedding, rebarreling and all the lathe work - he was the only one who knew who to operate the old manual lathe they have so he made custom small parts as needed for repairs, etc.

He has been retired for years and I have not spoken to him for that long - he was a real jerk when our Mom passed as I was the trustee of her trust. He got an attorney and fought just about everything I had to do, costing himself and my other brother and me thousands of dollars.

It sucks when **** like that kills a family.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

It's really easy to make trigger pulls heavier.
Just put in a stronger spring or a spacer behind the spring it already has.

Makes sense. I've never taken it apart. I'll add it to my list of some day projects.

                  New toy arrived today.
                  It's really nice.
                  The big grip feels great.
It just fits my bottom 3 fingers.

If I remember correctly the diff between the two was adjustable sights on the Security Six and fixed on the Service Six.

Ah yes, I see it now, I just didn't look far enough. Now I want to look at my rifle and see how the model number is inscribed on the tang. It's towards the back of the safe so it will take a bit to dig it out.

Very nice 1936 Marlin. I do like those but I have a 1947 Win Model 94, so my .30-30 itch has been satisfied.

I have to say that this group has been very informative and enjoyable - I love the smoked cheese I have made based upon the info from Randall et al! I am going to smoke about 12 pounds of it in a few days when the temp drops. I think my favorite is mozzarella but that changes depending upon what I am munching on at the time....
