Permission Sought to Enter the Crew Room

Will be picking up my Rossi M92 45LC 16" SS at Sportsman's in Visalia 7/9. The bug hit courtesy of my son who lives in Kingman, AZ. Riding SxS he always has his Rossi 92 on board. Enjoyed it so much I HAD, no choice, had to get my own. Mine will be used for plinkin' while out on the SXS and primary home defensive weapon. Not much experience, not much knowledge but hope to make up for it with lots of love and enthusiasm for the gun and the MLC. Hope you'll have me.

If it matters a long time ago in the land of Twentynine Palms I DID have a six pack of the near mac daddy of centerfire manual in Mojave ... M102 Howitzer. Few thousand rounds down the tube. They were fun too.

Welcome aboard, sir! You and your Rossi have found an internet home.
And if it means anything, you are the 45th (.45, right?) and Most Recent lever-lovin' scoundrel (by coincidence since we don't really assign anyone a number) to join the MLC.

Don't let anybody tell ya that you have to swap out all the springs to slick it up. I've got 5 of then and they're all slick as snot. Of course they do sometimes eject the empty shell further than the bullet...I just park my truck in the right spot and all the brass winds up right in the bed ...
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Seen it myself Mark. Those top ejectors are something. Getting damn warm out in the desert. In the Winter, couldn't wait for Spring. Crap, now, can't wait for Fall. I must be getting old. Or lazy! Probably that.

Shot at Burro Canyon today. Tested a 158gr ACME coated, 2400 load in the 357 Marlin lever. At the end of the day, shot the Marlin 45 Colt. What a treat. That rifle is just pure fun to shoot. Nothing beats a large, lumbering bullet at 100 yds. Thump, thump, thump.

Deuce, what are your loads for those? Mine: .357:180gr Missouri rnfp coated with 11.5gr 2400.
.45Colt: 8.0gr Unique and 250gr rnfp Missouri. Both out of my Henry's.
Superbly accurate. Both have 20" barrels.

interesting.. I don't load anything and never heard of a Missouri bullet..

well being born and raised there on our family farm, actually heading there this weekend, I had to investigate..

turns out they're in Kingsville about 12 miles from our farm in Lone Jack.. passed it daily on my way to school in Holden, 22 miles each way, up hill both ways in the snow
I started out with nothing - and I still have most of it

                      Good stuff, I use them in 9mm, 38/357, 44mag, 45acp, 45 colt and 30-30.

Missouri Bullet Company offers premium lead bullets at affordable prices. We make hardness optimized bullets for the velocity of the loads you shoot.

I have no plans on reloading, I have more hobbies than I have time for now.. adding the farm full time in retirement in 5 years will keep me plenty busy..

I am planning to add an electric trap thrower to the farm this year tho - PULL! but my reloading will consist of my shopping cart at bass pro

but maybe I'll stop by there when I'm in the area, good odds I either know them or their parents, kids, etc.

In a bit over 11 months you will have two beautiful foals. Nothing much better in nature to see. Pure happiness and joy to be alive.
Well bummer drag but it ain't gonna work out that away. The wife's mare slipped/absorbed her foal. She was ultrasounded at 14 days and good. Ultrasounded at 21 days and its growing well., all looks normal. 28 day heartbeat check and nada. This was her fourth breeding with out success. The vet feels she's not producing a quality egg.

I'd say that after four attempts, that's it.
Couldn't say much about the egg; next time I see one of our vets, I'll ask. Neighbor sent an Andalusian up to Davis for something similar, never got it worked out. That was an expensive trip to boot.
Best wishes for the next one.

My sentiments as well. Hope y'all bounce right back from this somewhat significant disappointment.
