Did you ask them for some glock perfection followers?

IMHO, a couple hundred to start with. Then a mag full every couple of months just to make sure.

But cost is the main reason you don't fall for the "Super Xtreme Duty Defense Zombie Polar Bear" marketing hype and pay $2+ per round for.

Plenty of excellent HP ammo to be found far below $1/rnd.

For example Fed HST is available for 50 cents, today http://sgammo.com/product/federal/10...le-ammo-p9hst1

Or you can pay 5X that price for hyped up ammo with no performance advantage

        You'll never achieve 100% certainty.

You need a nice pair of clamps to squeeze the lower base as you insert the tool.

I bought that, best $12 bucks I've ever spent.

I didn't know you needed to squeeze the mag to get the tool inside. I thought that was to disengage the floorplate from the 2 tabs. Thanks for the tip. I'll order one right away.

+1 for the tool. It helped when I replaced my followers.

The Good: I received the new 9mm3 followers, installed them, but haven't had the time to shoot any rounds out of them yet

The Bad: I attempted the "slide release" check with a full magazine and would rack it manually with my Gold Dots. Low and behold the 6/7th round stuck on the barrel feed ramp...!!! Just as others had mentioned... I attempted this several times with the same results. This only happend in 2 of the 3 magazines so I have (1) functioning magazine, yea...

I'm still going out to some BLM area or the range and shoot some FMJ in hopes it'll "break-in" the followers and then follow up with my Gold Dots... If all else fails I'll be searching for some new HP's that don't suck, I mean get "stuck" :/

Make sure that the followers have enough clearance as not to get stuck half way inside of the magazines. Sometimes they will get stuck and sometimes they would feed all the way. A good way to assure this is to open up the magazine and see if there is any blockage or friction that might cause the followers to get stuck.

IIRC I had to sand 2 of the followers because they would get stuck causing the front to dip inside of the magazine.

If you do a search about Speer gold dot +p feeding problems one realizes the problem is not confined to the Glocks. Some speculate that the bullet design is just too flat for some weapon designs (without modification). Have heard about ftf with Sig's.

That video is a bit deceptive. The armorers tool doesn't go straight down but rather at an angle working itself around the insert. Then the rest is as it is in real life.

                          Hope this helps!

I just did the same function test with Gold Dots 124GR +P and got the same results on the 6/7th round with the 9mm3 followers as well.

Also tested some golden sabers 124GR, 7th round fed fine but the 6th round was caught up on the feed ramp. This sucks, my last BLM outting I dumped a whole box of Gold Dots and it ran fine without a hiccup.

I don't understand why you are still trying to remedy a known problem instead of using a confirmed fix from the get-go. Use 9mm6 followers and be done with it. Your apprehension of performing a minor modification to your mags is causing more headache than necessary; I have attached some pictures of the 9mm6 installation process for anyone that would like to perform the fix. Until then, you are just wasting your time and money.

Except that's not what Glock sends you as a replacement and the 9mm3 work for a lot of people without mag modifications. Why not try the free replacements first then try upgrading to the 9mm6.
