These seemed like such a good idea that I bought 2 of them. They might help a little but it's still a major PITA. Not sure they were worth the costs. Let me know how the work for you.

Glad I saw this thread. Thank the god of your choice I didn't have this pistol loaded up with HP's for HD use; have not had time to practice with this pistol enough to consider replacing my M&P 9mm.
Very disapointed that Glock would allow this condition to happen. This is my first Glock product and thought: What could possibly go wrong? It's a Glock! Yeah, right...

Glad the thread helped.... It's definitely a concern that Glock needs to address other than the buyer finding out about the issue from the internet or worse yet when it's needed...

While I certainly agree that Glock should fix the problem AND publish an alert about it, there's absolutely no excuse for an owner to discover this kind of problem only in a real SD situation. Any/every gun you might depend on must be thoroughly and repeatedly tested with your desired SD ammo and preferably a variety of SD ammo. Period.

While I agree with this and personally only trust a gun that has a minimum of 500 rounds through it. Glock advertises their guns as "perfection" which they are anything but. Most new shooters just think that they can grab a box of SD ammo and load it up and assume it will work.

I had this same issue with a gen 3 G19. I ended up sellijg it because I have a hard tike trusting a gun with issues.

This!!! When you know there is a common issue and yet you dont fix it, I say you take down the marketing campaign of "perfection".

Obviously an issue Glock is aware of. An email got me new 9mm3 followers in the mail right quick. I'm happy with the response and lack of drama, but disappointed they aren't publicly and globally addressing this issue.

Just shot a new Glock 30 SF and a new Glock 36 along with a relatively new Glock 21. Shot all the store bought and reloads that I had without failure.

I was able to install the 9MM3 followers on all 4 mags and then run HST thru my G19 without any issues.

                              Just called them.

They were polite and friendly and are sending me new followers

This is the part that worries me. HP ammo is expensive. How many rounds do you need to run through it in order to be certain that your home defense gun will be 100% if, heaven forbid, you need it?
