I try ordering 3 9mm6 followers from Glockmeister and the lowest shipping was $8.21.
Are there any other places that sell them without the stupid high shipping fee?

If you call them to place the order, they will ship it for $3 if the order is less than $20. It says so right on the checkout screen, I have done it several times.
If the total of your merchandise is less than $20 and you are shipping in the United States we may be able to ship it United States 1st Class Mail for $3.00. Please call us at 1-888-456-2563 if your order qualifies and you would like us to ship it this way.Last edited by SkyHawk; 06-07-2015, 3:48 PM.Comment

I agree with everything you said, verbatim. I've experienced the exact same problems. It is a nightmare and a half.Originally posted by 26.2madnessI bought a Glock 19 a couple months ago and had the same magazine problems. The stock follower would get the stuck on the last round every time, every magazine. The replacement 9mm3 magazine was worse. Got stuck on the 4th through 6th round every time. Bought the 9mm6 and works perfectly. Without modification, the 9mm6 still feeds perfectly, but will not hold back the slide after the final round. The follower does not come high enough to activate the slide release lever. The front right corner of the follower hit the magazine shell. By filing the front right corner of the follower, it allows the follower to extend all the way to the top and will activate the slide release lever. Took about 30 seconds of filing to fix. I have run about 500 rounds, both FMJ and HP without problem.
It is annoying that this known problem has not been fixed by Glock, when the fix is so easy.
I finally got the chance to hit up the range today and ran my G19 Gen3 with 5 mags w/9mm6 followers. I ran a few boxes of Golden Sabers 124GR, Gold Dots 124GR+P and AE 147GR Flat Nose. No problems whatsoever. 2183 and 9mm3 followers are simply junk.
I am really happy and 100% confident with the 9mm6s now. I have 5 new G19 10rd mags that are collecting dust, going to change those followers ASAP.Comment

Thanks for your update infamous. I still need to get out and do the same with my wife's G19.

Here's how long does it took me to get new followers.
Email request sent to Glock on 4/1/2015.
2 weeks later (4/15) Glock replies: We are currently back ordered on the followers. We will send you some when they arrive.
Almost two months later (6/10), I received the followers.

I didn't bother to give Glock a call, so I ordered the 9mm6 followers from glockmeister on Monday and it arrived this morning. I then went ahead and try to
disassemble one of my G19 CA 10rd mag. Well, it was trickier than I expected. After some effort and 10 mins later, I figured it out. Check out the pics.
2183 and 9mm6 follower, I filed and sanded the top right corner so the 9mm6 follower have room to seat properly.

The 2183 on the left and 9mm6 on the right. You can see that the hp ride higher on the 9mm6 follower than the 2183.

Another view of the hp's aim sitting on the 9mm6 on the right.

Only concern I had was I sanded it too much but I guess that's not easy to do. My 4 mags has been good so farCC/LTC Review Links

Lol between this and the (nong glock) salient thread.
The Glock hate on this forum is ridiculous

Glock hate?!?! It's ridiculous that the magazines provided fail to reliably function, and that the replacement parts fail to rectify the situation.
I had to replace the 2183 followers with the 9mm6 (I just received my replacement 9mm3 followers after 3 months), and while I've had some issues with the slide locking back on empty, at least my pistol goes bang 10 times without failure.
Going to do some additional filing on my followers, but I was running a brand new recoil spring/guide, so I'm going to shoot another few hundred rounds before I make any final determinations about further action. Essentially a brand new G19 with about 500 rounds so far(Vickers extended release, Zev Tech mag release and spring kit, Dawson recoil guide with Wolf spring, Ghost connector). Great shooter, but my 1911 is still in my nightstand due to lack of confidence in the performance of these mags.
Stupid thing is, 15rd and 17rd mags run flawlessly. Had a PD buddy run his mags through my pistol without any issues.Comment

I was skeptical about this test. All 6 of my mags failed when using 1 round of HP, followed by releasing the slide, with the slide release. The gun ran the HP fine, when just shooting (pulling the trigger at round 9) normally. I thought the test was skewed, because the slide isn't being fully deployed.
Then it happened. Round 10 of HP jammed in the gun. First with 1 mag. then with another.
Needless to say, my order was in at Glockmeister.
I tried taking 1 of the mags apart, and really had no luck. I then used an old modelers vice with 1 3/4" jaws and that did the trick. I figured I'd replace the springs too, since I don't want to do this again. Bought some Wolff +10% magazine springs, and away I went.
I was nervous about the whole "cutting" of the magazines, but can honestly say this was easier than I thought. Just running the 9mm6 in the mag, you see exactly how little needs to be removed.
All 6 mags pass the "test" now, and am happy with the result. I hope the springs break in a little because they've become a little difficult to load round 8. Kinda like round 10 with 2183-2 followers.
One last test, and that's at the range! I feel very confident that my HP is going to run like a dream. To make a long story, short, if you suspect your followers, change them. The hardest part is getting those pesky 10 round magazines apart.Comment
