G19 - STUCK

so what followers are you supposed to use? if not the 2183's

Glock will tell you that you need 9mm3 followers and they will send you some free. However, they seem to be hit or miss and many others have reported that the 9mm6 followers are better with a slight modification needed. The 9mm3s worked for me.

Zero issues with the same ammo for me but my Glock 19 is a Gen 4. Easy to get the base plate off even on a Gen 4 10 round magazine with the GTUL tool.

I wouldn't send the pistol in, it is an issue with the 10 round magazines, not the pistol.

If it were me, I would buy some blocked 15 round mags from Jestice because I wouldn't be able to trust the factory 10-rounders. I would be upset about it, but that is what I would do.

I would like to hear feedback from others who have tried these magazines in their G19 with JHP. It's a pricey option ($29/mag + shipping) vs new followers + a little magazine modification. One or two mags, I wouldn't mind, but I've got 5 and that starts to eat into other funds.

I don't mind if it's for a mag that's reliable. I forgot how much mags cost but I currently have 4.

They work perfectly. For me there is no other option because i would never trust the 10 rounders

Out of the two different JHP bullets I tried, one had a 33% failure rate on round 10. FMJ has worked 100%.
After reading about the follower issues, and being afraid of incorrectly sanding and thus potentially ruining my mags, I didn't want to go with the 9mm6. I also didn't want to trade round-10 failures for potential round 4-6 failures.

I'm hopeful that one day I'll be allowed to own the standard capacity mag.

So far, I've just decided to load FMJ for round 10.
It's not cool.

just did the 9mm6 follower mod last night on 4 mags. i HIGHLY recommend sanding the follower instead of the mag body. i sanded the body on one a bit too much and the follower sits way high. it still works but sanding the follower produced much cleaner results. just fyi.

I tested mine today but no real firing.

It gets stuck when I try to rack it with one bullet in there but I'd I tug on the slide back a bit it will chamber the round. I i hand cycle it, it will get stuck on last round. It only does it with my HP. Some reason it leads me to believe it might shoot correctly if it's actually being fired...but still worries me

It did it every time I tested it. But just last week I fired a full mag and it shot fine.

I might go with changing mine into 9mm6 followers which everyone has good luck with. Ill convert all 4 of my mags

Some help, how do I tell if I sanded enough down on the 9mm6 followers? They seem to fit without sanding
