I guess with the new "microstamping" law in effect, that means no more SSE. As all new (new to roster) or modified guns (SSE) need to have the microstamping technology. Sucks, but glad I already picked up all off rosters I need for now.

                Sorry California. We lose again.

                  No.

Microstamping applys only to the roster.

SS pistols and SAO revolvers are roster exempt.
                  Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Well, it's now a certainty that this sse loophole will be closed next yr. And when it's closed, it's almost no reason to think a citizen can get anything not on the list. Unless they become a cop.

The only thing certain is death.

                          And, it's not a loophole.

It's complying with the laws as written.

Will I have to SSE an 80% AR pistol lower?

To comply with the law as written any pistol you build in CA that is not on the roster must be built as an exempt pistol.

The easiest way to do this is:
                              1. Complete your 80% lower
                              2. install your LPK
                              3. Install your magazine lock of choice
                              4. Install a magwell block (that locks into place) or a zero round magazine
                              5. Attach your <16" upper

You have now made your very own Single Shot Exempt AR style pistol.

You may now spend the next 3-5 seconds and convert it to a Semi Auto AR style pistol.

                              To do this:
                              1. Use a tool (like a bullet tip) to remove the magwell block or zero round magazine
                              2. Replace with a 10 round or less magazine

You have now just made your very own Semi Auto AR style pistol.

                              Have fun.
