Good to hear, congrats. Glad the extra questions from the investigator did not result in a denial.

Yeah I started sweating it out after their second call with more questions.

I'm now at 12 weeks. Called today and they are still saying my paperwork is not back from DOJ. At this point I'm thinking they either lost it, or did not send it in. I know of people that have been approved and gone through the whole process and their App date was after mine.

Does anyone know of anyway to check or call DOJ and actually speak with someone? If so that would be great.

          (916) 227-4557 Is the number you need to call. When you did your livescan they would have given you paperwork with an ATI number on it. You will need this number to check the status. Mine took over 2 months to process. It has been over a month since they processed it and i got a follow up call 3 weeks ago that they used to ask me some more questions about my past. I am still waiting on a final decision.

That's the problem. I didn't have to do a livescan because I already had one through sjso. All I had to do was pay for the background. So I don't have an ATI number and they keep telling me they don't either. All I get is "wait a few more weeks".

                Zamble,

First, congratulations! Good to hear all went well. I was wondering approximately what your interview date was. I will be at 2 months by the end of the week.

Also, did my CCW class with Wesley Lagomarsino recently. Top notch instructor, excellent shooter, and I highly recommend him for those interested in any kind of firearms instruction.

My interview was April 2nd. I might of had the ok a week or two ago, but I left out a ticket I had thought was beyond the 5 years. They had to figure out why I didn't include it. And the second time was to check my employment status. I have no reasons why though. I was laid off a year and a half ago and went back to school for a certification. Then he grilled me about my finances. We have been living off of savings and it took him a but to understand this. But I guess in the end justifies the mean.

I am just happy I got my approval.

Zamble was this your first time applying? Did you do a livescan on April 2 or just the background?

So, I took my class today in Sac. Finished about 3:15 and rushed to the SO. I got there 15 min after they were closed. They still helped me and I got my CCW. Very good of them.

While I was waiting for them, I overheard them talking about other licenses. They have had somewhere around 850ish people apply so far, and have only signed off on 221. So that should give you an idea about where they are at.

Nice, I'm sure if feels great to have that license in hand. What school/class did you attend?

I went to Best Handgun Training in Lincoln. I did the one day class. Mike is a great teacher, with a lot of firearm experience.
