Yes. SJCSO accepted it with no questions.

I don't know about Called2Arms specifically, but I do know San Joaquin now allows online (canned not live) classroom training followed up by in-person quals. I believe the specific combination (online and in-person) needs to be approved.

I had been talking with them over the last few months, when they first announced classes were accepted by Stan County and Escalon, about San Joaquin County. While they haven't updated their website, and SJCSO hasn't updated the "approved vendors" list since early this year, they have been given the green light for us. The renewal is $160 for the 8 hour course, and it is a true 8 hours since each section is timed and you can't advance until the timer hits 0:00. It's a go at your own pace type class, and you can stop and resume as needed. After completion you can print out the cert and contact them to schedule your live fire qualification. They seem to do that 2 Fridays a month, from 5 PM to 7 PM. It looks to be first and third Fridays, since this month they have 12/6 and 12/20 on the list. I will likely be taking mine on 12/20 as I plan to finish the online class in the next day or so.

Who is offering the online class you are taking?

Thanks, brother. Here's to hoping that my renewal is completed before my expiration date. As I am hearing from folks in other counties that the backlog is such that a few have lost their ability to carry while they wait for the process to complete. Please take note of the following text:

Thank you for your help. I hope my renewal is processed before my current license expires. I've been hearing from people in other areas that the backlog is causing some individuals to lose their carrying privileges while waiting for the renewal process to be completed.

It has a clear statement at the top that I am licensed to carry a firearm in the state of California. The ID is similar to a CA DL. I'm good now for two more years.

Do the shooting/qualification. Then upload it when you fill out the form. Not sure how long it takes to process though.

Has the Card Format Changed yet, I saw something about standardization but dont know if SJSO changed the way the card looks again

Look like a solid blue bar along the top, picture left, CA State seal in center of info area.

Saw a post on reddit a while back. Im gonna need to update mine again I switched a gun out last year and the manufacturer had to replace the frame on mine which means new serial number but same gun. but gotta reliability test it first. Save yourself a hassle and steer clear of KAHR P380, I wanted a pocket pistol but regret this purchase, perhaps I should have just got a Beretta 32ACP or SEACAMP I didn't want the sig P238 it urks me to carry condition 1 in my pocket even with a holster.
