Even with Moore's history, I would be shocked if all of the sudden he stops approving CCW's because the election has passed. Keep in mind they brought in additional staff and changed the good cause requirement within their documents to allow self defense as good cause.

I say CCW approvals continue unless something negative happens with the Peruta case. And if he did suddenly stop, he sure would have some explaining to do about all of the permits he gave out leading up to the election.

I tend to agree with you. My wife thinks he is going to start stalling and throwing in bogus obstacles to avoid issuing, but I think the cat is too far out of the bag to put it back in.

On another note, I know there website says only three guns, but I was wondering if anyone has tried to put more on and if you had any success?

I have heard SM say that he is ok with writing small to fit as many guns on that piece of paper as is possible. So no, not limited to 3.

I'm coming up on 10 weeks. They are telling me my doj paperwork has not come in. I already had the livescan done in the past so they did not make me do that again. Wondering if they did not submit it?

I had the same issue. My livescan finally came in a few weeks ago (did it on 2/28). They called me last week and did a bit of a phone interview because of my "colorful" past. We will see.

How long ago was your arrest? Did they ask you about it in the interview? If they approve that, then I would think that they would have a hard time denying it based on a speeding ticket or two.

It was probably 3 or 4 years ago. I listed it on my app and he mentioned it and even said his daughter got one after having too much to drink and he had to come pick her up. He talked about how tough it is because you can have just about 1 beer and be over the limit. I thought maybe he was just trying to get me to complain about the law or be a victim. I just said it was my fault and made a stupid decision and learned my lesson.

Almost 2 months out from my interview and nothing quite yet. I hope that the election does not affect Sheriff Moore's stance on CCW issuance. Will update when I am either approved or denied.

So last Monday(?), I get an email from the background investigator, he has some questions for me and he could not get through to my phone. I had privacy manager, it prevents blocked calls. I called him and he had questions about a ticket I had in 2009. I had thought it was in 2008 and I did not include it on the application. It was driving above the posted speed limit. My old work truck had issues one day and I could not tell my speed and got a ticket. the judge reduced from speeding to driving above the posted speed limit, so there were no points involved for me. I had a commercial license at the time. I told him I wasn't being deceitful, I had thought it was 08 and he said all was good.

Today I get a blocked call and I am thinking awesome, "The Call". lol. Nope. It was the same background investigator. This time he was questioning my income. I was laid off at the end of January last year and decided to go back to school and get another certification. Constantly asking about my employment history. With the exception of me going to school, I have almost no gap in my employment.
Then he was on about my finances, asking how I can live with no job. I explained that we live with my father-in-law and my wife takes care of him. We have been living off of savings.

Talk about the third degree.

Applied on 4/28
Called today (6/16, week 7) to check on background and add 3rd serial to application, was told that the background is complete from DOJ/FBI and am now just waiting on Sheriff.

Adding 3rd serial will be done once approved but will need to be qualified on that one as well once complete.

Told it could be a couple more weeks still.
