Gotcha. Well, he has approved several calgunners in the past 2 weeks and without restrictions. But the real test is soon to come.

There are several people I know that have applied today that are squeaky clean and a good test to see if anything has changed besides just the wording on the San Joaquin County CCW paperwork.

What I am also curious about is the timing with the election. Does Moore approve some CCW's in the next 2 months and then stop as he gets within 60 days or so of the election and leave the rest of the people that had late April and early May interviews hanging?

One thing is for sure, we need to elect PAT WITHROW for Sheriff in 2014!! I hope all this latest CCW news and applications does not deter people from getting out and voting for Pat!!

I don't care if Moore issues me a permit, I am still voting for Withrow.

I just made mine for 4/30.

The weird thing is they said the application was going to be "new", due to the Peruta decision. I looked at the one I got today, and it still has language for a Good Cause requirement.

I'm hoping it's not too good to be true. It would be political suicide if he announced that SJ County was going "shall issue", and then denied everyone. (as far the votes he hasn't lost yet anyway).

The application is a standard DOJ application and did not change. The only thing that looks like was changed is page 2 of the San Joaquin County 10 page packet of documents. Line 3B now states "Personal protection may be considered a valid "good cause".

Its bothersome that is states "may be" but at least an effort was made to make changes due to Peruta.

At the end, all that will matter is if licenses are truly handed out to those that qualify with personal protection/self defense as their good cause.

For the good cause, it says personal perfection is a good cause. Was that on there before?

                        Mine is also in April.
So now what is the magic word going to be? Personal protection or self defense? What is the actual wording used in the ruling that just took place? It would be great if everyone can update as they go through to help everyone out.

I'm going to call tomorrow to make my appointment with the SO.

Does anyone have the list of approved training courses? I have been looking at a couple of training courses, and they are booked into June/July.

If Moore issues me a permit, I'm going to be having a crow barbecue!
If it ain't broke, keep fixin' it 'til it is...
