That's how it has been done in the past. But with all the new applications and renewals they may be changing things to make it easier for them.

If they told you to look for an email or letter that's what you should do. Make sure you don't change your email address between now and then. If for some reason you need to be sure to let them know.

      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Oh that's freaking me out. I don't have any other ccws anywhere. I thought everything went decently. I wonder if I did something that is an automatic disqualifier 😔

If you did something to be disqualified from getting the approval they would not have taken your money order, do the livescam and taken your picture.

There was a lot of waiting involved for me, that and a lot of paperwork. For a recap of my timetable see this post:

For the entire story, you can see it in another forum: https://www.xdtalk.com/threads/bassc...7/post-7951585

If you've kept your nose clean you will pass the background check. Besides the paperwork, the waiting, and the expense, I think that's the biggest hurdle. If your background check comes back clean, you should be good to go.

I got a phone call to schedule my CCW class after passing the background check. Perhaps procedures are changing. I think they are trying to streamline and get as many CCW permits issued as possible. Be patient.

                    Thank you for your indulgence,

When I received the call, I was told that the qualification immediately follows the class. That's why I cancelled my July registration: because I didn't have all the guns I wanted to list on my permit. If you check out the website, you'll see that's how they're running things [for now].

So a question with regard to listing additional firearms after the initial application. For example, I listed 1 firearm on my initial application. If I purchase 2 additional firearms prior to the range qualification day, I simply add them to the range card and qualify on that day? There's no paperwork addendums needed prior to range day?

That’s correct. I did the same thing. When I initially applied I only listed one. While I was in background, one of my back ordered firearms came in and I also purchased a Glock 19. All while in background. On Range day, I listed all 3 on the Range card. The one I initially listed, as well as the 2 additional I acquired while in background. No other paperwork was needed to list them. They just had to be in my name. You can have others in a spouses name as well that get listed on your CCW, but at least one needs to be registered to you.

If they’re going back to the class and range in one day, then you’d need to have all of your firearms you want to list by the time you go to your class.
