Question about range day, ammo.
I'm curious about how much ammo I need for the day. I understand they want factory new boxed ammo and I have no problem with that but I have been reloading for my 38 snub and I currently only have 1 box of Remington G&W. I know very little is used to actually qualify (10 rounds per gun?) but does range day include training/firing, and how many total rounds for the day?
I can buy more but I've gotten used to NOT paying $16-$18 a box
9mm is cheap and I don't mind buying 45acp to get fresh brass but 38 is my cheapest to load and most to buy, or a least as much as 45acp so I'd like to buy as little as possible to practice and qualify with.
This is all assuming they deem me worthy of course, today is exactly 1 month in to my background check

This is not a "training" class, they leave this to the individual to get the training required. Each gun is 5 rounds/reload/5 rounds. Now if you have problems qualifying, it may require you to shoot more until you have the required hits in the target area. My buddy that qualified with me a few years age had to shoot a few extra magazines to qualify. Little mouse gun, I forget what brand/model, but it was giving him fits.

Of the 3 guns the only one I have trouble with groups is the 38 snub if I don't shoot it a lot.

Items in red paid on range day.NEW CCW applicant:
SBSD Range - $112.00 (money order payable to SBSD)
Final fee - $124.80, the remaining 80% of the administrative background fee
So I understand the first two (119 and 31.20) are due at interview, but when is the next two fees due? Range day or when?
Also, I am applying in two weeks once I start my job, what is the timeline looking like now for the process?
Thanks!Mrs 38Special

One examiner said drugs not sure if usage or connection to. Another said drugs and domestic violence. I smoked some weed and barely yell at my wife out fear for my life. I was super anxious and now I'm stamped "deceptive" no matter the results being inconclusive.Comment

You still aren't answering. WHO gave you a polygraph and why?
It makes a difference in our answers.

Oh yeah of course, I was applying at different PD's in the area. Hope that helps. I'll just chalk it up to anxiety and wanting to do well. I don't hold it against the examiners for wanting to catch liars, but this could possibly affect me now. Years later.Comment

I would say if you are as evasive with them as you've been with us, well that might be a problem. Whatever it was you were "deceptive" about on your polygraph I would be prepared to tell the truth to the letter when it comes to your interview.Buy made in USA whenever possible.Comment
