I thought there were three members that posted they were scheduled for this class.

There was. I'm sure they're here. I heard Detective Dominick say everyone was here.

Any of my comments were made either before the class, or during the break just like now. Nice assumption though lol. Let's keep the peace. No need for the negative comments brother.

                    Almost there!

                    Greetings,

I was in the CCW class at the San Bernardino Sheriff's Office on 6/2/21 along with about 46 other responsible citizens, including 6 women. The Sheriff and the detectives teaching the class were impressed that there were so many women. Pretty cool.

This afternoon I'll be going down to Prado to shoot the qual. I received this in the mail a couple days ago.

After my range visit I'll take the range card to the Sheriff's Office on Monday morning. All indications are that I'll get my CCW permit in the mail about two weeks after that. It's been a long, expensive journey. I have chronicled every detail in another forum, if you want all the nitty-gritty: https://www.xdtalk.com/threads/bassc.../#post-7951585

Congrats to all of you who have jumped through all the hoops, paid all the money, filled out all the paperwork, etc. I can see the finish line. Let's hope I don't trip.

On requal day, a guy actually ran out of ammo short of his required shots due to at least 4 or maybe 5 failure to fire rounds! His ammo was in a Tupperware-type
container and I suspect they were reloads. Range staff tried a few rounds but could not get them to fire, so they had him dump his mags. The guy begged for some loaner ammo and was obliged somewhere down the line and finished up.

Folks, don't go to quals or requals with reloads or cheap ammo, and make sure to bring enough...I seem to recall there was a SBSD recommendation for 30 rounds per firearm...I don't know if that is still the case.

5 yards. Just use your pinky to poke 10 holes in the target. How hard is that.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Indeed! I've bought four holsters so far and still not sure if any of them will be my EDC. Getting recommendations doesn't really work because everyone likes something different. The evaluation continues.

I'll stop back by after I shoot my qual and let you know how it went. I don't foresee any issues but I haven't shot my CW9 for a while. Wish me luck.
