Goo ahead and list it. It won't be final until your range day

That's pretty stupid, not all jobs end with bridges intact, so they contact someone who will have a likely bias against you.

Both of my previous employers had massive layoffs and moved out of state I wonder how my situation will turn out. Didn't burn any bridges but some got demoted in order to relocate.

                    Negative.
There is nothing in the California PC that states that you have to carry your permit.
YOU are licensed, just as a real estate agent, notary, minister, teacher, etc...

Your IA may require that you carry, but it is not codified in the PC.
Whether you show a permit or not, an officer will call in to confirm your status... your permit could have been revoked and you could still carry it.

Yes, it IS a very good idea regardless of your IA's policy, and it will help smooth things if you are stopped.

I agree, but it is what it is. We can express that concern during the interview. Remember, the employment and neighborhood checks are only two parts of the background investigation process.

Wife's boss got really mad. He thought she was leaving him to go to work for the County Sheriff. Don't assume your boss is wiser then he really is.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

                        LOL!

I've been up front with my boss from the start (we go shooting together from time to time)
When I mentioned my application for the county and to be prepared for questions from HR, his first response was "Can you please send me the job description?"

Unfortunately, my boss wasn't the one the form was sent to, and thankfully HR seemed to handle it properly.

Hi all, newbie to Calguns here..:-0 I'm just getting started, going to apply today.
I've been through most of this 73 page thread, but still have a couple of questions.
I see on the ccw app there is no time at residences to specify. With my residence at current same address being 22 yrs.+ do I need to list all 4 of my previous addresses if applicable?
Sorry for the newbie question, just want to be sure I get it all right from the start, especially with the long process this will entail.

Iirc they only want residences for the last 10 years. I've lived in my home for 11 years so I did not put any previous residences down on the form, and I passed background

When I applied about 14 month ago I think it said to go back 10 years. Good luck with your application.

Thanks for the quick reply poriggity.
Moving on to one more question...a legal one if someone can answer it please.
While driving an employer owned and registered small class c van I received a fix-it equipment violation ticket for exhaust smoke. Turned it in to my boss for the employer to take care of it. They said they would handle it, famous last words...Quit that job about 2 months later....over 2 years later got pulled over for possible speeding. Officer ran my license of course, and to my surprise it came back with a failure to appear on that old fix-it ticket. Got arrested, booked and posted bail and released immediately. Lucky that I had enough cash on me to cover it at the time of booking. That employer was out of business by that time on top of it so I had no recourse. No charges were filed that I am aware of...I simply appeared on the traffic court date and my bail paid the fine for the ticket and that was it. So my question is does an arrest such as this for an equipment infraction ticket failure to appear need to be listed on my application? This is not considered a criminal offense arrest is it? This took place over 30 years ago, if that's relevant at all. Other than this instance I have never had any issues with the law beyond a traffic ticket.

Sorry if I'm posting this on the wrong thread...
