I recently heard from someone that has been stuck in the renewal process because they needed HIS birth certificates. He has never changed his name.

See, that's what I was afraid of. I think I will upload everything just to be on the safe side.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Back in April I uploaded all docs or so I thot..

A call and voice message and a text message from Deputy Carter needing my B/C,Terms of Use, Certificate of Completion and Firearms card.

After I uploaded to Permitium I called him and after his review said he'll clear it right now!!

I joked that I was afraid they'd forgotten me, he replied that there are more of us than there are of them.

I appreciate the job and attitude of the entire department.

San Bernardino is way behind on renewals, at least in my case I have been in "assigning to processor shortly..." since June 10. I do not feel comfortable running around SoCal unarmed.

I've seen both yes and no answers and was hoping someone had current info.
I submitted my application just before the old system shut down early of 2023. I remember seeing that you cannot switch firearms after submission, my interview was in July of 2023 and I was still waiting on my Glock 43X so I didn’t have it listed. During the day of class in January 2024 I filled out a new firearms sheet and turned it in at the check in time with my 43X listed and They accepted it. Later in the class they brought a copy of the firearms list as well as your ccw card and asked to double check everything.

So for me, I brought a new firearms list same day as class and it was accepted.

Anyone been able to pick up a renewal recently? I completed range day on 8/25 and patiently waiting. Expiration date coming soon.

              Thanks,
              James

I received an email on 8/23 that my renewal had been issued, and to contact them if I have not received it within 3 weeks. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks, so I just emailed them. My license expires on 9/15 (Sunday.)

Same boat. I got that same approval email on 8/16 and I should receive my renewal card within 2 weeks and to contact them if I don't see it within 3 weeks. I emailed and got this response:

"Your permit has been approved. It has not been printed or mailed. Once it has been printed and mailed you should receive another notification."

I waited until expiration and emailed again for a status update and got this response:

"Your permit was printed and mailed yesterday."

I didn't get any email stating that my card was mailed out but apparently it's on the way. My timeline says you may see your new card in about one month after receiving the approval email.

My approval email was a week after yours, my permit expired on 9/15 and I am still waiting. I emailed a couple days ago and got the same response - Your permit has been approved but has not been printed or mailed......

Expecting to have it by now, I purchased a firearm at an auction and it is waiting to be DROSed in Fullerton. I guess I need to go take the FIrearm Safety Test so I can get a card since my permit i not forthcoming.....

So I waited a full week after the supposed date of mailing and did not receive anything. I emailed them and they responded "Your permit was mailed on 9/17/24. Please give it another week or so as it must go through a mail process, which can cause a delay."

I waited another week as suggested and I emailed them again stating that it has been two weeks since the mailing date and the item is obviously lost in transit (if it was even mailed at all). They responded with "Your permit was printed and mailed 9/17/24. Please give it another week if you have not received it let us know. It has to go through a mail process which can cause a delay."

A letter normally only takes a day to arrive. I will email them again after the third week from the date of mailing has passed. I'm interested in seeing how long they will blame the Post Office for the delay.

EDIT: Renewal card received. Letter was postmarked 2 weeks and 1 day after 9/17 (the date the CCW office stated they printed/mailed it), and just over a month after the approval date.

Route 66 Shooting Park is NOW an approved source for renewals.
