Hang in there. SBSD is doing a fantastic job on CCW. Patience is needed as the SBSD works diligently through this COVID situation.

Meanwhile, keep busy at the range to stay sharp.

      Thanks
For the SBSD class, you need to pay attention to the entire class.. This is not something you can nor should run in the background. Sheesh. Why even think of shorting the process and potentially causing the SBSD to just stop the process until COVID is clear? Jeeze.

The extra rounds also allow for the RO to make the choice of allowing en extra round of ten if you or in my case I miss the designated area of the target.
Not to proud to admit while all rounds were on the target I was out of the designated are by one to many with my new 380 that I had very little range time with. The RO allowed, as is his discretion, me to shoot a second 'round' with the rest of the three gun folks. All my G19 rounds were 'great shots' as the RO pointed out.

I took the qualifications class at BCTC this past Saturday. I have to say, it was excellent. The instructors kept the class loose, engaging, and fun. The range instructors were equally fun to be around with. Thank you to the entire staff - it was a great day. I scanned and uploaded my paperwork once I got home, now I just need to wait for the approval. <cross fingers>

                Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I had my interview today, which I booked in late November. The staff and investigator were really nice. I was told that I want to receive a phone call and not a letter. I guess that means the envelope is the rejection letter.
Also, I noticed they already printed an envelope addressed to my employer. Just curious, does anyone know if they do a preliminary background check before the interview? Because it just seems like a waste to print out an envelope if the person's interview questionnaire has disqualifying events.

Anyways, I hope my fisticuff events from my late teen years do not come back to haunt me during the approval process.

Yes they do. If they find something that you didn't list on your application they would probably talk with you about it. Depending on what it was they would tell you at this time that you don't meet their minimum requirements and not take your money and send you on your way.

Since you already met the minimum you saw the letter to your company. They will also do more research on you and the final outcome will be determined on what they find next.

You are correct about the letter, you don't want one of them.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I appreciate the insight into the process.

Just one more question. I was asked if I'm currently a CCW permit holder in other states, which I am not. If I answered "yes," would that improve my chances for approval? Or is that just another variable that now needs to be investigated before they conclude the background check? Thank you.

Don't think it helps if you have others but if you do and don't disclose it that may hurt you.
