Nor is mine. That's not how they do it. When you first got your permit you may have gone through their training in the first half of the month, say on the 3rd of the month. They will need to finish up all the paperwork, print your card and ready it for pickup/mailing. The date on your permit will show as being valid from 15APR2020 to 14APR2022. Same thing for those who did their initial qualification in the second half of the month. The permit will be valid from 01APR2020 to 31MAR2022.

When you requalify your expiration date will never change from the original permit. Which is good since you need to start the process 90 days before your permit expires. I will do mine somewhere between 85-90 days before my permit expires. If they changed the date to the date I requalified I would lose 85-90 days worth of permit usage.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

My expiration date is 5/15 but my original range/class date was 5/21 and I received my permit that same day in hand

They did things different with your class. That wasn't the way it used to be. With all the new changes going into effect this year, who knows how things are going to be going forward.

So, unfortunately you lost 6 days on your original permit and you will lose some days on your renewal. Sucks, **** happens.

The date on your permit is when it was approved/printed/processed not the date you qualified.

Yeah, I emailed yesterday and got the response of sorry. So basically people lose weeks to a month or so and just say oh well? Crazy

In the past all permits had valid expiration date of the 15th.

Mine has expired on July 1st since my first card was issued. I think it was the date they got around to actually printing my card.

They changed the date policy awhile back.

I interviewed eight weeks ago and haven't heard anything yet. None of my references or neighbors have been contacted yet.

I wouldn't be expecting to hear back after only 8 weeks. Last 4 approvals I've seen (including mine) took about 6 months from interview until call to schedule class/ range date.
