    Ouch.

    14oz 340? I thought my Scandium was only 12.
Either way, I shot 357 out of it once. My hand was brusied and swollen for 2 weeks, and my thumb was cut to crap from the cylinder release.

It's ok with .38, but I just don't shoot DA lightweight revolvers very well. I'm fine with 357 out of the SP101.

Anyone going tomorrow night for modification? I'm replacing my G36 with a G30 and G26 with a P380.

That revolver is scandium with a stainless cylinder. The 340 pd is scandium with a titanium cylinder. It has green laser grips which are very comfortable. I don't have the balls to shoot full power 357. A 357 with 6 or so grains of red dot under a 158 grain bullet is very unpleasant and a couple cylinders will leave your hands sore. That was ammo my grandfather loaded up years ago.

I used 38+p in 130 grain and it is no big deal and it wouldn't be bad to run a hundred rounds through it in a session. The lighter bullets are easier to shoot.

My other revolver is a Smith 460 magnum and the noise and concussion are worse than the recoil with full power loads. I'll just take your word on how the full house 357 feel.

The little revolver is very fun to shoot, has a smooth trigger pull that is heavy but not nearly as bad as the double action on the 460 and it fits the hands nicely. A buddy, who works the gun counter where I bought it, let me know these guns can be no fun. The 45 xds is easier to shoot but I love the revolver and it seemed like something that would be easy to carry. I do shoot fairly often and like to compete and shoot a number of different firearms for fun, but for a person newer to shooting, it might not be so great.

      The 25 yard weak hand............

That was part of the training our officer instructor said he recently completed for the department.

The qualification for ccw is very easy, but I was nervous as it is a big deal.

It didn't compare to doing man on man dueling tree against Mike Dalton, running other competitions, or the 3 day/1500+ round ccw class I did last summer. In that class, we did shoot from 25 yards and ran weak hand and had to shoot small groups. It was very challenging.

I got the feeling that many people in the class don't do a lot of training or competitions. As our instructor said, you don't know pressure until someone is shooting back at you. Hopefully, I never have to find out for myself.

If your interview is 11-3-17 don't go to San Bernardino tomorrow, it's only the 2nd.

I always suggest arriving early but 24 hours early is a tad too early.

I hear you. Just relax and enjoy the interview. It's very easy. Answer some questions, talk with the deputy, take a picture and give them a USPS MO and your done.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Does anyone know if for the range day you can bring any ammo or if they check the box. The reason I ask is I buy my ammo in bulk for ranges and have some reload 9mm I was going to use. Want to know if I should just buy two boxes of something new just for the range.

I brought reload without a problem. Your mileage may vary
