If there is a range class for tomorrow (3/24/18) CALL today to check on road/facility conditions. The rain makes a huge mess of that road and the area received a lot of rain.

Range number is on the range paper work.
Yes, range is rain or shine. The road being open or closed is also a rain or shine deal. It was CLOSED yesterday AM.

I checked the range instructions, but didn't see anything on how SBSD would like you to transport the firearms to the range class? I plan on qualifying with the max of 3. Do they want them transported each in a locked container from the car to the range area? Just trying to see of I need to buy more lockable cases before the range date.

          Thanks!

            Get yourself something like this:

Throw all three unloaded pistols in it and lock it up. They'll have you bring all of your firearms to the firing line and qual with each one in succession. A single case is easier to use/transport.

Handguns need to be unloaded and in a locked container.

You can use one container, if all the firearms fit in it.

Handguns and ammo need to be secured in your vehicle, until instructed to retrieve them for range work.
During that portion, they will instruct you when you can unlock your container(s) and access your ammo.

So no issues with a soft fabric range bag that is lockable?

I think you'd still need to have each firearm in something so they don't bang around together. That's the beauty of the Pelican style case. Once you set them in there and close the lid, they aren't moving around. Think of a hard-sided case as an investment for all of your future range trips. I have a soft case for accessories (eyes and ears, etc.) and a lockable hard case for the guns.

Is the Apache 2800 big enough for 3 compact guns, 2 mags each, and 3 boxes of ammo? Or is larger needed?

Depends on what you think is a "locked container" is.

                              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
