About to start my CCW application process. Right now I'm gathering the proofs of residency. Anyone know if you can submit PDF's?? Instead of printing it out and scanning it? Or will they be really strict about only taking copys that are scanned and not PDF's saved of your bank account statement and cellphone bill? All still have the address on them. Please give me advice guys! Thanks.

Yeah I read the same thing. That is why I asked if anyone had any idea how long it was taking. I talked to my instructor and was told it was not too bad. As to how long that is I have no idea. I will let everyone know.

While I know they are slammed with new applications I really doubt adding, removing or updating a permit is that difficult. Most of the work is already done. I do understand that it is added work for them and I go to the back of the line.

Looking to get this started, but before I do anything, I wanted to know if there is a restriction on the firearms that will be listed to carry with mods like upgraded trigger, mag disconnect removed, night sites added.

Does it have to be in stock form for it to be carried or can I have mods on the pistol? Sac county

              Thanks in advance

I don't think mods are allowed, but you can have off roster pistols on your CCW.

Only restrictions are three firearms max per permit, and no rifle caliber pistols, i.e. AR pistols or AK pistols.

They just ask you a couple questions.( arrests, drugs , where you work ect) Confirm what you have written down. I think they just generally want to get a feel for you. Very friendly. In fact everyone I talked to during the whole process was super friendly. For me it was a lot of explaining what the next step would be and how to speed up (or at least not slow down) the process.

They told me I was boring in the eyes of the law, and suggested I get some excitement in my life like sky diving.

Basically, be friendly, don’t volunteer information that’s unnecessary, and be consistent with the answers you provided in the initial questionnaire.

now that cooper is the sherriff, any predication on the new levels of requirements for a LTC that will be coming.

For the first time in ten years, Sacramento County is electing a new Sheriff after the people voted in Jim Cooper. Cooper had been leading the polls since the June 7th election and undersheriff Jim Barnes conceded to Cooper Friday afternoon.
