There has been a backlog all year. And it's probably goung to get worse. Mine took almost 90 days. You can check your status at the DOJ website.

For me it was the same day but they told me that it could be a few days to a couple of weeks. I guess it is after the "committee" meets.

UPDATE: Application approved to move on to the next stage in the CCW process 3 days after the interview w the sheriff. Live scan on Monday.

About time. I think they issue Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am almost certain you will get it Tuesday. Congratulations. I know it sucked for you but I am guessing it will be even worse for those after you. I was 90 days and not the far ahead of you.

Recall my initial interview...MANY years ago. A couple of things people I knew told mne regarding my application and interview. "Disclosure is bliss". Doesn't mean to shoot your mouth off during the interview. Answer all questions honestly. (More than likely, the detective knows the answers and wants to see if you're honest).

Best part of my interview was the last question the detective asked me. "Have to ever been in handcuffs in the back of a cop car?" I almost fell out of my chair laughing.

"No. Decided I'd rather skip that experience".

Is it true your 16 hour handgun training completion documents have to be within 60 days of your Livescan scan results?

Moved to Sacramento a year ago and want to start the ccw process. Someone (not SCSO) told me I had to live in Sac Co for 2 years before I could apply. Anybody heard this before? I can not find anything to back this up.

I did mine after I moved, appointments were 8 months out. They did ask to see a title or lease agreement.
