Anyone know if you can make a copy of the permit and use that instead? I'm worried I might lose the permit.

Per my CCW instructor, a copy of the permit is NOT valid.

I would think it would be like a drivers license, only the original hard copy is valid.

It'd be a real humdinger if I get my Livescan approval back before the Sheriffs approval.

I am still waiting. Did the live scan about a month ago when it started to look like approval was going to be a while. When I had my interview I was told that it would be about 10 days for approval so I should just wait. If I had known it was going to be 60+ days I would have done it that day.

60+ days for an initial approval? Oh boy. Have you contacted SSD for an updatE on your status yet?

No, there seem to be several other folks in the same boat, so I haven't tried to contact them. It seems like they are (or were, don't know the status) working on the renewal backlog before approving new apps.

This is my supervisors timeline:

3/4/17 CCW Renewal Course/Qualification
3/6/17 Submitted renewal via SSD website
3/30/17 Email from SSD approved to come on Tuesday or Thursday to pickup his renewal CCW license.

Well I have tried a lap top, PC, android phone and Ipad. I'm trying for an Issuance appointment an all I get is the page that has no calendar and the following message.

You may only schedule issuance appointments via this calendar. For all other appointment types please use the calendar located here.

I don't always have access to a PC, just wondering if the issuance appointment calendar pops up on my Android phone?

I've tried to call a couple times this week and no one answers the phone. Submitted my renewal 2/18 but had to resubmit a doc about 10 days ago. Must put you back at the end of the queue rather then notify the processor and resume from where you left off.
