    Cal DOJ Live Scan Status?

Does anyone know if we should be able to check our live scan status at https://applicantstatus.doj.ca.gov/?

I did my Live Scan on 3/24/22 and when I enter my ATI number and DOB on that page, it says "Applicant Transaction Not Found. Please Contact the Agency that Requested the Background Check."

I've left a voice message for the Hurley Way Live Scan office, but their recording says they'll get back to me in 2 business days.

Did you apply through Sac County Sheriff or Sac City PD?
My instructor told me that also but I think that assumes the live scan has already been done.

My interview was 3/26. Was told it would take a few days to give me an answer but got the email that afternoon that I was good to go. Got the live scan two days later and did my training a couple weeks after. Still have not heard back from the background check. I was told it would be about 2 months. At my interview they told me to get everything done so all I would have to do is send in new residency proofs.

Was Sac County by the way.

OK, sounds like it's just the Cal DOJ background check that is taking so long. Others have mentioned 10 weeks, and someone mentioned 60 days. What's concerning to me though is that when I tried to check my Live Scan status on Cal DOJ's website, it said "Applicant Transaction Not Found, Contact the Agency that Requested the Background Check." Seems to me that Cal DOJ should have record of my transaction since it was electronically transmitted to them just shy of two months ago now. I'm waiting for a call back from Sac County's Live Scan office.

OK, just spoke to the Live Scan officer, the tech that did my fingerprints had one digit wrong on my ATI #. Put in the correct number and was able to see that it's just pending the Firearms Clearance from Cal DOJ.

Can someone explain what this 'firearms clearance' that I'm seeing mentioned. I've had my tkt since 2011 and am seeing mention now. Did this take effect in 2022? I just renewed in Nov 2021. THX

I believe that refers to the DOJ firearms clearance process. Basically the background check. I very well could be wrong though.

You're correct, it's the firearms eligibility check with the DOJ. For some reason, these are taking anywhere from 8-10 weeks to complete right now.

Submitted my renewal Sunday night, 5/22. Got the pickup email Tuesday morning, 5/24. Just picked it up.
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

Interesting. I've been DROSing monthly for the last 8 months. Clears after 10-12 days each time. One would think that they can see that.

My NV CCW when living there, took 23 days start to finish and 4 days for the renewal.

Just checked DOJ website and plugged in my ATI number. No transaction found. Live scan was submitted 4/6/2022.

Called and left message with CCW unit.

UPDATE: Spoke with Live Scan staff. They scribed the wrong ATI on the form. Waiting for firearms to clear.

Anyone know what to do if your DL has a different address than one in the county? I have a different city and everything. Can I still scan and submit my DL with a different city that's not in Sacramento County even if I get my address changed by the DMV?
