they told me 4 months when I did my live scan :-( How much time after you get your livescan back do you have to make your issuance appointment? Cause I really wanna get one more gun before I sign up for classes.

        6 months
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

Anyone know why the CCW modification appointment option is Unavailable on the sac Sheriff site?
(for adding/removing pistols from an existing permit.)

My appointment is tomorrow at 8 am.

For those who want the Sig P238, I suggest going to to Ammo Depot in Rancho Cordova. That's where I bought mine, paid $580 and I know they have them in stock.

It's been unavailable for many months now. No sign of opening soon

Yes. Their focus is initial issuance and renewal. That's where they put their resources. Anyone who wants to modify a permit to change firearms already has a permit, and is good to go. They are pushing to get people in the door and deal with those who are already there.

                  That's a bummer
At least it gives me time to practice with my new shield.
And buy more guns to add at the same time

Mt wife and I went there today to do livescan. Experienced the computers down too... So I stopped at the office on 65th and had it done. Just need to forward a copy to Hurley. Wife will have to go when she can.

Why would you need to forward a copy of anything to the Hurley Office? The results are reported to the agency identified on the form, not to the satellite offices doing the work.

The emailed instructions as well as the livescan attendant both said to forward a copy. There are 3 copies. 1 for the applcant, one for the livescan operator and one for the requesting agency. Since I went to a different office, I guess it's on me to make sure the requesting agency gets their copy.

The Livescan Operator is the Broadway LiveScan Office of the Sac Sheriff Department.

The Requesting Agency is the Sac Sheriff Department.

The copies listed on the form indicate, "Third Copy (if needed): Requesting Agency." http://ag.ca.gov/fingerprints/forms/BCII_8016.pdf

                            It's not needed.

Thank. This is the text in the email:
"Once your LiveScan is complete, please forward 3rd copy of LiveScan form back to the Hurley office (address below). "
You might be right, but I'm still.going to send it.

I did mine at Kilgore and they instructed to drop a copy to Hurley as well. Sounds like it is standard procedure at this point.
