I went through in late 2011. Issuance was through the downtown SD Office and I did LiveScan at the Florin Station. No one asked me to forward anything.

They've clearly improved the process, using third-party applicants to communicate with and coordinate between SD functions.

    Oh, ...... Wait.

If I did my Live scan at Hurley should i have still mailed them that third copy? I think I'll call tomorrow and ask. It's been two months.

So I just called and Amber Wong said 'unless they specifically told you they would provide us with a copy you still need to send one to us' So it seems that even if you do your livescan at your IA you still need to mail them the second copy. Hope this helps.

As it specifically states in the instructions.
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

Do you guys think age will play a factor if the applicant is between 21-23?

It shouldn't matter if you're a law abiding citizen. Get applyin'.

Well Mr. reads the instructions, it also said not to fill out part of the form on the instructions, then on the sacccw website it said to have it filled out, so written instructions are not full proof nor fool proof.

I forget where it was, but on the initial paperwork it told me to not fill out a page, and then the officer scolded me for not being prepared and filling out the page prior to my appointment.

That would be the section I was referring to lol. The lady in front of me got an earful about it, I just so happen to check the website before I came in and saw they had a disclaimer saying to have it filled out, the disclaimer was not there the week before. Then when it was my turn the gentleman said 'well at least someone knows how to fill out forms' He was half joking but I still felt bad for the lady, so I informed him that it was not there last week and that I just lucked out by checking the website again.

Yep. In my initial paperwork about 6 mo ago, it said "do NOT fill out page _", and i got chewed out for leaving it blank.

lol, oh well. As long as you get the permit.

Therefore, a suggestion for all who are applying for the first time, print out two copies of the full application, fill one out completely and leave another blank, in case you have to make a change right before your appointment.

                          That would be Page 9.

Has anyone, that got the initial interview around middle of April, heard from SCS yet?

Took them 3 weeks to get back for my initial approval. My appointment was in Feb though.
