I think it's been like two months now if I'm not mistaken. That or I missed an opening. The last thing I heard from Amber Wong was they would be accepted in mid to late March. Obviously that hasn't happened so I assume it should be any time now.Comment

I spoke with Amber a couple days ago about a renewal appointment and she said that they were all booked up through May...but to keep watching the website for cancellations. I have been watching the website for about a month...I am getting a little discouraged.Comment

So what's up with them closing off initial appointments, even to people trying to see if there are any cancellations on the site? Have they been doing it that way for a while? It used to allow you to check the calendar for last minute cancels and snatch them up.Comment

Just keep checking, they open up a ton once a month or soComment

It clearly states red bold letters that they are closed for initial permit appointments, right on the cover page when you click on the on-line appointment system link. Then when you go past that, there isn't even a clickable choice to get you to the calendar. I've never seen it posted like this before. Usually they let you in to see the calendar so that you can see the cancellations. Not this time.Comment

Pardon me for asking this question as I know it has been discussed.
Initial CCW interview is Tuesday. Should I simply put "Self Defense" on my separate letter exlaining why I want the permit? The reason I ask is that I am increasingly mobility disabled...artifical hip and progressive arthritis in spine and knees. I can get around pretty good unless things flare up bad. The condo complex I bought into also has had some squatters in our utility rooms. The PD did not respond when two residents, not me, confronted a squatter and he became beligerant.
SO, should I just leave it at self defnse or include the other circumstances?"I think, therefore some people make me laugh"Comment
