Anyone have experience submitting essentially the same GC for another renewal?

Nothing has changed since I renewed 2 years ago. Should I just submit the same GC statement?

                  Yes you should.
Make sure you re-write it to bring up to date. It should look like an official letter with dates and signatures. Worked for me on my first renewal.

                  Good luck.

I didn't re-write mine, simply stated that it had not changed. No questions asked. Proof of current employment required, nothing further.

Just to be clear, when I say re-write I don't mean change it, I mean change the date and anything that needs changing, not the actual reasons.

                        lost in ccw limbo

I had my appt Jan 5th, with my livescan already completed. Turned in my training certificate Jan 22nd and have not heard anything.

I've emailed and called and no one returns my emails or calls.

Coming up on 4 months since I turned in everything.

Yeah, that sounds like a lost app. I have not heard of them being unresponsive - I would call in and explain just as you have here. Someone will help you.

I agree that something must have happened. From my personal experience and from everything I've read here they are quite responsive. Four months with no word and no response to your calls or emails doesn't sound right. I would send them another email.

As a current CCW holder, I want to add another gun to my license (Orange Co). In the past, I've added a gun after getting qualified with it over at The Firing Line in Huntington Beach (via "Security Training Center", a training provider).

The issue is that Security Training Center is only at The Firing Line on Sundays; they are available on other days, but up in Burbank or other distant locations.

I would like to try to get qualified on this new gun this Saturday somewhere in OC since I'll won't be able to make it this Sunday to The Firing Line.

Can anyone recommend a place in Orange Co (or south LA County--e.g. Long Beach, etc) where I can go this Saturday, or maybe somewhere in the evening during the week?

Check out On Target in Laguna Niguel. They typically have an instructor on site during business hours.

They will charge you range time + ammo/targets and after you send the appropriate number of rounds downrange and into the proper targets will fill out your qualification paperwork for you. No additional fees.

When i did mine (was able to go at lunch time) the whole process took less than 45 mins. It was very convenient because I didn't have to schedule anything, just called ahead to make sure an instructor was going to be there to sign off. Good luck.
