No. If the guns are registered under your name then there's nothing to worry about.

A non-issue. You have to prove where you live - utility bill, car reg, etc. And they do a physical residence check.

Where your guns were registered is irrelevant.

What do you mean by your "gun license"? If you mean the application for your CCW, a deputy will check that you indeed reside at the address given in that application. You have a serious problem if you used your parents' OC address to apply but your significant other's place is outside the OC.

I hope this is the right place to ask this. I presently have an OC License to Carry. It expires in August 2016, about 6 months from now. Need to know:

                1. What training am I required to take -- I am imagining there is some refresher requirement -- or is it just retake the 2 day course?

                2. My old "Good Cause" statement was just "self defense". With Peruta up in the air, what are they requiring now for renewals?

If this is the wrong place to ask, please direct me to the right place.

How long after the livescan did many of you get a call back / email to proceed with CCW Classes?

It takes 8 to 12 weeks to get the results in on the livescan. Supposedly the weapons check that they do is the bottleneck - the FBI - CJIS and DOJ seem to come back fairly quickly.
Once your agent has all your results in then they submit to the LT (they let you know they are) for your conditional approval - the condition is that you provide your training certification. If you've already done that then they schedule you for pickup. If not, you go get it, submit it, or your trainer does, and then they schedule you back for your photo and card.
It has been taking 3 to 6 months for all of this depending on their backlog.

                          1. If approved - A 4 hour course.

                          2. Anything other than "self-defense"

Hopefully yours will get processed sooner, but I'm going on 18 weeks. Yes, you read that right - my appointment/LiveScan was back in October 2015. At this rate, maybe the en banc Peruta ruling will be here before any permit.

Gavin Newsom is a lying, cheating slickster and will be is the worst mistake California has ever made if he gets now that he has been elected Governor. Hollywood movie producers look to him and his oleaginous persona as a model for the corrupt "bad guy" politician character. This guy is so greasy, he could lubricate an entire arsenal of AR-15s just by breathing on them.

I'm thinking of just doing the training and then submitting as soon as they say go. That way the process goes faster.
