I've been reading back a couple of pages to get a window of when people get a call for interview after the call for additional docs requested via email and it seems to be somewhere along 15-20+ days after submitting the email.

Submitted my training on 12/16, no pickup call yet, but I asked them a few days ago and was told I?m ?fully approved, just need to schedule pickup? amazed how long this is taking, I submitted July of 2022

Does anyone know how many full-time equivalent deputies are assigned to CCW permit issuance? It just seems to take way too long. Does anyone know how many CCW permits are pending? It would Be interesting to find out.

Somewhere around Oct-Nov of 2022 Villanueva gave an update on CCWs and stated they had issued 1200ish and there was a backlog of 12k applications IIRC. No idea where those numbers are at now, and no way the new Sheriff gives out that info.

If you know how to do a FOIA request you may be able to get those numbers.

I finally received a private number call asking for my email and documents. It has been 573 days since they received my application in the mail. Not sure when I was entered into the system. I replied to the email and submitted my documents the same day. Currently waiting to hear from an investigator.

7/27/22 - application delivered via certified mail
10/22 or 11/22- Money order cashed but I do not remember exactly when, so just guessing.
10/23 - Livescan complete (CA/FBI same day; Firearms 5 days later)
2/24 - Private number call to confirm email and submit documents

Well I'm finally done! Picked up today, it was so dark I had no idea where the entrance was when I got there. Made sure I was early. Painless got a nice card with my picture on it.

Only took 579 days start to finish.

Now to look for some insurance!

Great to hear! When you talk to the investigator they might be able to tell you when your app was input, just need to ask.

Applied June 2022. Submitted my training the day before Thanksgiving 2023. I just called as it's been exactly 3 months and they mentioned it was approved but they were waiting to schedule more pickup dates.

Your timeframe of submitting training to pick-up seems excessive!

My friend who was contacted a few days after I was, to submit his email and documents, was contacted for his interview yesterday. We had already completed the 8 hour training. The officer told him that they're ok with him getting an additional 8 hours of training as long as the instructor was cool with it. Our instructor told us we had to do the 16 hours class and that the 8 hours wouldn't count any more. I hope he allows us to do the 8 hours after we tell him what the investigator said.
I still haven't been contacted for my interview.
