That is not good news. Especially since I submitted my paperwork in February. It appears that some investigators are faster than others when processing their applications. My friend was contacted within a week of submitting his paperwork. And he submitted them after me. He was already told to proceed to training.

The investigators must hate processing all these applications. I wish there was more of them. Not that I have any idea how many are assigned.
Just in case they're reading our messages. I appreciate your hard work.

According to the CRPA lawsuit answers there are 4-5 working CCW applications and 1 dedicated to renewals at all times. They estimate each one processes 45 applications a week. There is a backlog number mentioned in the lawsuit as well but I dont recall that number, its somewhere around 7-9k.

Good to know. I may be 2 months behind you then. I am getting nervous since they said I must submit training docs in 60 days and I have no way of knowing if it was received.

I also was a little confused by their email. It clearly says provide training docs by ?replying to this email? but then said if certain words were not used in the subject line they would not process my documents. But the words they wanted was already in their subject line in the email they wanted me to reply to. Maybe I am overthinking this but after such a long wait and paying a lot to get this going I don?t want it to get messed up.

I called them to make sure they received my documents and they verified receipt when I did, I think this was a week or so after replying to the email. Seems they don?t verify receipt otherwise anymore.

Maybe you could have replied to their email but just change the Subject to what they requested. The reply part is so that all your previous emails are still there as a time stamp. Give them a call.

                    Thanks

                    I will call.

I guess I figured since their subject line included the words simply replying was sufficient. Their subject line was LASD CCW FIREARMS TRAINING and the email said FIREARM TRAINING must be in the subject. Isn?t that the same thing?

I'm seeing folks that submitted training mid-to-end of December are getting the call to schedule pickup. Meanwhile I submitted my training the 3rd week of November and it's crickets.

Two weeks ago they told me it's already approved, but they're waiting for more dates to schedule pickup.

Today they tell me it's pending final approval. I said well a few weeks ago they mentioned it was approved, is it not? The deputy said it's approved, but waiting for the investigator to approve it too? Ridiculous wait times but it's nothing new.

Today marks 618 days since my application was delivered to HQ

Am I correct in reading that for a permit issued by LAPD you cannot change the weapons on it until you renew?

This thread is about LASD. But yes, you cannot change or add weapons untill renewal with LASD.

Kes, I was told I couldn’t change my 3 once my file was “submitted”. According to the deputy I interviewed with it sounds like that happened after my phone interview.

For me I really wanted to change one but I will have to wait.
