I would not complicate things by mentioning any of that when you pick up your licence. The Terms of Use agreement you will sign only states you have 10 buisness days to to notify via email any change in residence.
You need to have some sort of physical address, for you drivers licence if nothing else. If you really are going to be living out of a van, I would get a post office box in a private owner mail center like a UPS store or something. Usually your address will be a normal looking address with at unit #...it looks like an apartment address.

"Lying" on a CCW application is perjury. Punishable in a court of law. Being denied a renewal should be the least of ones worries.

I was just curious about Post office box thing.If thats not acceptable by LASD i ll move into my friends place and use his address.


Its also super weird that state like California which is extremely pro homeless will limit your constitutional rights based on your residency status.

I sent my training documents in about 50 days ago and never received a ?confirmation of being received? email.

I double checked the instructions to make sure everything went to the right place, including any special instructions. Seemed squared away. Hopefully not EVERYONE is receiving the confirmation email.

Not everyone receives a confirmation their training was received. I had to call and confirm via phone mine was received. Right now it seems the timeline from training being turned in to call for pick up is longer than usual.

Don't have any specifics, but my firearms instructor said to get my training done before May 1st; that they are going to be making changes to the requirements and we won't like them.

Wouldn't surprise me. They actually called me up to do an "audit" of the training company I used for my last renewal. Looks like they might be weeding out instructors that don't meet their approval. The new sherrif is a puppet to the L.A. board of supervisors. Anything he does will more than likely be unfriendly to gun owners.

Los Angeles county is currently not issuing permits to applicants.
