In this process after sending our training docs in do we get a training docs received email as I emailed them right away when proceed to training came to me and have not heard a peep that they got the cert and form...

Did you change/add the subject line FIREARMS TRAINING? If not, then they probably missed it. I got my confirmation email a few days after submitting

Finally got the call for pick up - set for late February this morning unknown number

Waited about 9 weeks for pick up call after submitting training docs to LASD

Congrats! They're really behind on the pick up it seems. Mine was 5 weeks for call to pick up

I replied to the email, BUT changed the subject line to FIREARMS TRAINING as instructed in the original email...

The journey is almost complete!

I finally received my proceed to training email on friday after 2 months of waiting since my live scan was complete. I already had completed my CCW training in december so i submitted my training documents right away. The email stated it would be a minimum of 4 weeks till pickup and not to call or email for status updates. Also i just received my Utah permit yesterday in the mail after only 4 weeks.

You sir, have one of the best timelines that I have seen lately.

I agree!! I submitted my app 3 months before him and we got the proceed to training same time. Very cool to see hopefully they are speeding things up... Dare I say that.

My guess is I'll be done by April which puts me right around 12 months. For California standards that's good but everywhere else it's terrible. It's I guess I step in the right direction. These mass shootings like in Monterey park should put a little more speed in the issuance process

Maybe they are batch processing these emails too? I got my 'training docs received' email this morning too, and I submitted them later than you, 4 days ago on 1/19.

Either way, we're at least 4 weeks away from hearing from them again to pick up the CCW.

"Firearm training and certificate received. You will be contacted when your file has been approved and we are ready to issue your license. The minimum wait time after this last step of the process is four (4) weeks. Thank You for your patience."

A CCW from another state isn't enough to authorize you to purchase a firearm in the other state. They're going to have to send it to an FFL in California and you're going to have to start your DROS here.

I'm not an expert and could be wrong.

Your CCW doesn't give you any additional rights to purchase a firearm. You're better off buying the firearm online and having it shipped to a local FFL. You may want to contact the firearm seller in Nevada BEFORE you make the trip. Good luck.

Is there a process to see if my application is moving forward? My timeline for my Los Angeles County CCW application is below. I'm concerned that I am not going to be contacted regarding my CCW application.
