Number 1 in my Sig finally received his call to pickup in Monterey Park. They requested they both pickup at the same time, they are husband\wife, but no dice, 2 round trips from Acton. At least their wait is over, 17 months for #1 from start to pickup.

I understand what you mean but I have to tell you that a co-worker that lives in a neighboring county submitted an intrafamilial transfer request about a week before I mailed my request. His county sheriff informed him last week that he can not add the gun to his CCW list because DOJ still has not changed the ownership! At this point, it has been more than 4 months!!
So I am wondering if anyone has an idea what is a typical processing timeframe. Thanks!
Best thing to do is go dros it at an ffl if yore in a rushCCW: app mailed 2/7/22

Not to rain on your parade brother but you did your training as well as your livescan more or less the same time your application was submitted? Your training and livescan is only good for a year and with the deluge of applicants after Bruen, it is going to take give or take a year and a couple of months before you get a call for interview; by then, your training and livescan would have been expired and you will have to do it again.Hi all,
Please skip this post if you want as it's not that interesting to most.
So I took my 8 hour CCW course in July '22 and qualified on my firearm. My course instructor gave me a Live Scan to do for LASD and I completed that (didn't write down my ATI number unfortunately), but on July 30th I sent in my completed application and all materials, course certificate, firearms qualification certificate, Live Scan copy, $30 check, an abundance of residence documentation, essentially everything but the kitchen sink
What my instructor told me is that they typically have an "A" pile for people that have all their ducks in a row, and a "B" pile for people who are incomplete or piecemeal, and that providing everything they need will get you to the proverbial "A" pile.
A few days ago I noticed LASD cashed my $30 check. I'm curious if anyone knows if I should read anything into that or if they just cashed it because it was close to 90 days old. Should I expect a call or email to set up an interview? I was fortunate I got my application in before LASD narrowed their criteria as I live in LAPD jurisdiction, but made the cutoff thankfully.
tl;dr what's the timeframe from application check being cashed to getting a call to schedule interview? and what's the timeframe after interview to potential issuance (assuming you completed all requirements in advance of interview)
thank you and have a wonderful weekend
Giles
A lot of your brothers here, me included, took more than a year go get the permit on hand, in my case, 16 months, in usual suspect's friends case, 17 months and we applied pre- Bruen last year, which means applicants then are less than 6000. We are talking about plus minus 100,000 applicants post Bruen? Which means that the wait time exponentially increased and the time lines will be farther and farther than the previous recorded timelines.
This thing is a file and forget thing as the process is very very lengthy and to say that it is very very long is even an understatement. Jumping the gun may prove costly as you may need to pay for traing and livescan again by the time you get an interview call.
My two cents brother; good luck with your journey and have lots and lots of patience because, as I have said and I will say it again- this process is going to test your patience to its breaking point and to its very very limits.Re-Elect Sheriff AV 2022

No rain. I appreciate the honest feedback. If I need to re-qualify or take the class again or take fingerprints again, it's not a big deal to me, but if having everything handed to them with all my i's dotted and t's crossed gives me an advantage in processing time then it will have been worth it. Essentially, it was a risk I was willing to take. My instructor teaches 40-50 people a week, every week, and has had good result with this. I've gone this far in my life without my permit, so I'm happy to be patient. I will keep you updated on my progress (or lack there-of)Not to rain on your parade brother but you did your training as well as your livescan more or less the same time your application was submitted? I just called the Los Angeles Sheriff CCW unit to speak with someone to confirm that I'm in their system. I submitted my application and paid at the Sheriff's office in Calabasas on July 23, 2022. The deputy told me I'm not in their system yet, but she said it takes a few months to input into the system. She also told me they're scheduling interviews for people that submitted their application in March 2022, but that it should move a lot faster since local PD need to process their own CCW applications.

Can any March applicants confirm receiving phone calls to set up interviews? I thought they were further behind than this.

The process seems to be the same. Although each IA has some discretion, i.e. require16 hrs instead of the 8 HR min, or require psychology evaluations, sit on apps for a while.Comment

Holy nice!!! Every other IA is really stepping up on the plate for sure, but the only one sadly that's still unsure and scared about this is LBPD... Nothing new or updated since their last statement on 9/22/22Just to update my Burbank PD experience:
