It was the same for me. I had submitted my renewal more than 90 days before expiration. They didn't call me for the phone interview until a few days before my permit expired. I had been 'naked' for almost a week when they called me to pick up my renewal.

Did you get your livescan and ccw class finished before the interview?
I've been emailing them weekly, and it seems they are super backed up.

I got a call for a Wednesday pick up and am almost at the end of my CCW Journey after 16 long months from start to finish. I am one of those that applied when good cause was mandatory and I have a very solid good cause as well as 3 active and 1 inactive CCW licenses from other jurisdiction and yet it still took this long.

To the boys that are late to the show, patience is the key here. Submit and forget, because it would just drive you crazy if you think and compare your timelines to what is posted here at the forum. There is no rhyme or rhythm to the order of submission, interview, proceed to training and pick up call, so be very patient as this whole process will test your patience to its very limits.

I hope by renewal, the IA would be able to iron out the wrinkles in this process.

The #2 on the list received their call for pickup today. She asked about her husband, trying to only make the drive from Acton to Monterey Park once, Deputy told her she had to pickup when she is called, and he needed to come down when he is called, they don't work around others schedules. You would think they would try and accommodate them considering they have accommodated them for 16 months.

Some peoples phones block calls from unknown numbers. Do you have any apps like that?

If you have an iPhone, check the following, under Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers. Make sure it is set to off or your calls go to voicemail.

This is definitely the attitude! When I did my pickup, it was very business oriented, at the end, I said, "be safe out there," the deputy was actually surprised and said, "thanks," but only with mild interest. It seems all business down there!

When did #2 get the received training docs email/time before the call? I am glued to my phone now eagerly awaiting the call!

Now that just has me nervous, but seems to be good also that you're not even at 4 weeks and they are trying to get ahold of you for pick up!

I got my training docs received email on 9/28, so hopefully next day or so based of your friends timeline of getting it on 9/26!

What is everyone putting down as GC? Do we need an elaborate reason? Or self defense? Sorry if this is a repeat question..

Hopefully, it's been a long process. I am guessing with the influx post Bruen, while they have added some staff, will still be around 16 months, maybe 18.
