I am still waiting for my proceed to training email. I sent in my DD-214 and my LiveScans cleared 7-30. I have sent my interviewing Deputy 2 emails since and have not received a call back or and followup to my emails. I have already done my training. This wait is killing me...

It will come. I sent my interviewing deputy at least 6 emails (including documentation she requested), and never heard back. Did my live scan without being told to and got my proceed to training email. Just hold on, and it will be there! Be sure to check your spam folder too

Sounds like it's LAPD. If you look at his location, it looks like he lives in North Hills, which is patrolled by LAPD.

But he can apply to LAPD now and withdraw his LASD app, which will most likely have shorter wait time for now

I got my confirmation email last week. Assuming you followed the instructions exactly as in the training email, maybe there could've been an error and they just didn't receive your email.

I would resend it just in case.

They will reply back with a don't send them in until we ask for them email, or at least that is what I am told happens.

Yes, they will not accept them and tell you to resend once you're asked for them

If you read his prior post, he reapplied after being denied by LASD. LAPD wasn’t even issuing at that time.

Yikes that's a bummer for the ones that have been waiting! My deputy friend told me that they have been outsourcing a lot of help from other stations recently. If true, with this new batch of deputies along with weekend pick ups (read that someone picked up on a Saturday recently!), I'm optimistic that they will catch up with the backlog.

One does wonder though, that if that July 2022 applicant already received a call for an interview, if these newer batch of deputies are only responsible for all newer incoming applicants. For instance, I have two friends that are up for renewal. One friend turned his renewal app in almost 90 days ago and his permit expires this month, while the other friend turned his renewal in 3 weeks ago (with a December expiration date). The second friend with the December expiration date received a call for a phone interview already while the first friend has not received anything yet.

Same here, I was denied not too long after Seaweed. But I think I'll stick with LASD - somewhat skeptical of LAPD, esp. if they do manage to pass the 918

I would apply to LAPD and see who gets to it first. But LAPD is crazy expensive compared to LASD
