They cashed your check really fast compared to any I have seen. I think they are speeding things up in all areas. I expect a faster interview, then livescan to DOJ, then back to LASD, then proceed to training, then pickup. but you are now the new timeline so we will be watching your progress.

I'll keep you all in the loop as I progress through the process. Hopefully you are correct and they speed things up. The only thing I can see helping is LAPD accepting applications may ease some of the burden on LASD.

They have started accepting applications I did training with 2 guys that is going with lapd

Great to see LAPD finally restart their CCW process. I got a call from them to schedule an appointment in reference to my application denied last year, so they're being proactive, which is a good sign (just like when AV changed LASD CCW policy in 2020 and they did the same thing, calling back folks who'd been previously denied).

Is LASD doing “documents received” emails recently? I submitted my docs last Friday, an hour after getting the “proceed to training” email. Radio silence a week later.

I got my confirmation email last week. Assuming you followed the instructions exactly as in the training email, maybe there could've been an error and they just didn't receive your email.

I would resend it just in case.

Meanwhile I’m on day ~230 from second application with no call for interview, and day ~545 from submission of my OG app last year that was denied, with no callback to reconsider in light of NYSRPA.

I posted this on another thread. My vision of the CCW Office is a large room with desks pushed up against and facing the wall. Sitting in the middle of the room is a huge conference table. On the table are stacks of CCW applications, no organization or sorting, just piles of them, and when they ran out of table space they started stacking them below the table on the floor. When they have to grab a new bunch of applications they just pick off the mess, hoping it is somewhat in the order they received them in. I hope the Deputies don't walk into an office like that every morning, it would be discouraging to say the least, almost hopeless. I hope I am wrong.
I have also noticed a slowing in Calls for Pickup and Interviews. Hopefully there is a steady stream and the applicants just don't belong to Calguns.

Have you tried emailing/following up with them? What city are you in? May be easier to apply to your local PD now

I am still waiting for my proceed to training email. I sent in my DD-214 and my LiveScans cleared 7-30. I have sent my interviewing Deputy 2 emails since and have not received a call back or and followup to my emails. I have already done my training. This wait is killing me...

There is an LAPD thread somewhere too, but I've seen it is moving faster than LASD (obviously due to lack of people when the flood gates opened). I'd surprisingly put my money on LAPD to be faster at this stage
