The only way to really enforce a bill like SB918 is to put metal detectors everywhere they don't want you to carry. And that won't happen!

I'm by nature a rule follower. And I don't want to have legal trouble. But I have full respect for others who might decide otherwise.

These asshats in the Senate added penalties under SB918 for being arrested carrying a concealed and loaded weapon (even with a ccw) in areas that will be pretty much defined as gun free zones. The penalty is not being able to apply for a CA CCW for 10 years.

Sucks cause I just got my permit and CCW safe Ultimate insurance policy. Maybe better to not ccw so as not to lose your ccw for 10yrs till this is all straightened out?

Someone pointed out that amendment no. 152 to that god awful SB 918 seems to have the intent of allowing CCW applicants that have submitted their initial and renewal applications and have the IA receive the applications dated prior to 918 becoming law to be subject to the existing regulations before the changes. So if true, that should be relief for the ones that are currently in the process right now.

Now go back to talking about LA county ccws

Glad to see those inflight don't have to start over. Anyone on the fence about it should put in your application now. I realize SB918 cuts off anywhere outside the toilet, but at least while it works it's way through the Courts you are at least a card carrying member.

Need some good vibes, going on week 5 for my call to pick up. Been waiting patiently, wondering if I should send an email to the CCW department?
