Just received my call for interview. Call came from a 213 area code number, it was not a private or blocked number.

Is he now using the term "pending issuance" rather than "in the hopper"? I wonder what that means, applications that have been approved but not yet picked up? that seems like a lot. Why would there be so many in that stage?

I spoke with the deputy issuing the permit and ask how many do they issue in a day. She replied that they only issue them once a week so that's probably why the number of pending issuance is so high.

I followed Seaweed's example and also re-submitted, to be on safe side, threw in some proofs of light red as well

MajorCaliber helped me alot with polishing my GC, and evidence I already had pre-scanned, so all I had to do is dump it to print. I only submitted LR GC, I'll try to get the LG/Y and SCOTUS reasons during interview (or re-print GC part of application when interview time comes)

Good luck. it's really terrible that they are putting you and Seaweed through all this trouble, but soon you will get issued and it will all be worth it!

Someone who likes to maintain a low profile PMed me. They got issued for Light Green GC!

Hopefully before July 4th SCOTUS will liberate us from the burden of GC for CCWs. But maybe not….

This aligns with those who have asked interviewers if GC got tightened about a year ago and they said no. I think people started getting lazy and not taking the time and putting in the effort necessary, and/or thinking that the recreational activity itself was sufficient and not focusing on how it:

makes them a target (valuable equipment, drugs (if work related GC), guns & ammo)

and/or

puts them at risk ((1) alone (2) in rural areas (3) with spotty cell coverage and (3) few LEOs resulting in (4) long LE response times even if you get a connection.)

regulary & frequently, not occasionally or rarely

and

provide evidence sufficient to prove ALL of that for at least the past 12 months (i.e., not a new hobby just to get a CCW)

For GC there’s a big difference between a someone who regularly rides his $7,000 custom mountain bike in the boonies and someone who sometimes rides his Schwinn to a local park in LA….
