I'm getting worried that something was wrong on my app. Is it worth sending them a follow-up letter to explain the timeline of my submission and see if anything went wrong?sigpicComment

Yeah no reports of fourth week of April calls yet.
Now that there are only 3 deputies in the program the process is going to be slower.Lockdown

No. Do not call. Do not email.
There is absolutely no reason to call or write them. You will just get a generic response and further slow down processing times for everyone. They will get to you when they get to you.LA County CCW HolderComment

Anyone else on here with a last-week-of-April delivery date who hasn't received a call?
Better yet - anyone on here who HAS?sigpicComment

Ok So this tuesday coming up will be 8 wks since my interview day and livescan process.. If I don't receive anything by tuesday I will contact them on Wednesday ....
Do I email the CCW Unit? I"m guessing yes since that's the only info I have.. But I'm open to suggestions.
From everything I have seen, you will just get a canned response saying they will contact you. Also, see last line of quote from another member.Comment

answer to your question
not sure if your question was geared towards me but if it was here is your answer.. When my deputy finished interviewing me, he specifically told me that after my live scan, If i don't hear anything from the ccw unit within 6 to 8 wks, then i should contact them.. I believe his reasoning was that from time to time, applications may be accidentally misplaced. So I've been patient and tuesday will be 8 wks.. I think it's only fair for me to write back.. to cover my *** I will mention that the deputy advised me to make contact at this time. Now hopefully I wake up tomorrow and see an email from them.. we'll c.Comment

I get that but most who have contacted them were still waiting on interviews or just plain old contacted them impatiently ... My deputy actually instructed me to reach if this situation arised.. So I'm only following instructions. I'm sure there is an exception to contacting them. in my case I believe I am in the write and actually following instructions.
No more questions about this please lol.. This is not the first time I've mentioned this. For those of you that contact them too early because your just worried, I would say just wait. They are backed up badly. I know my background has cleared by now.. My live scan was fully complete june 16th, 8 day after my initial interview. If there was as problem they would have contacted me, If my application was accepted, someone must have misplaced it or it's sitting under a pile already completed or not even worked on applications.. In that case then you better believe that I will contact them and make sure my application is not lost or accidentally ignored due to pile up of applications. So I'm going to patiently wait till my official 8 wks is up. Then I will write a short and respectful letter explaining what my deputy advised me to do.. I will leave his name So that They can confirm my reasoning. Other than that, There is nothing else I can really do but wait..Comment

Several students of mine sent emails because their apps were submitted on the 1st and 2nd weeks of April and have not received any interview calls. All of them received the same generic reply email stating that they received their apps and waiting to be assigned an investigator.

[QUOTE=kjc625;26008813]Did no one else get a business card from their interviewing deputy? Mine handed me his card at the end of interview. He also even texted me from his cell the next day making sure I sent him additional docs he needed. My deputy was firm but he was actually giving effort to help push me up to the next phase it seemed. Or he just wanted to get my file off his desk ASAP lol.I'm getting worried that something was wrong on my app. Is it worth sending them a follow-up letter to explain the timeline of my submission and see if anything went wrong?[/QUOTE
