Phone rings just now. My phone marks it as "scam likely". The area code isn't even an LA one.
I pick up anyway, because what if a deputy is calling me from a hotel landline while working remotely? I don't want to miss that!

So, as I expected, I received the call to pick up while I am out of town. I was told they would place a note in my file to call next week to reschedule. Has this happened to anyone else? Did they in fact call the next week to schedule pick up?

It's just random, based on the deputy I think. My deputy didn't care if I did the training early, so long as I was cool with taking on the risk of paying for nothing. She said to email her if I got it done early, which I did. No idea why some of the deputies (or maybe it's all one guy) get annoyed if stuff is done early.
That said you probably should not do the livescan before at least the interview, because if it takes months to get the interview, the livescan may be stale for them by then and they could ask you to do another.sigpicComment
