Didn't you receive an e-mail from your interviewing deputy in regards your interview and thus have direct contact information? I did, that's how I received information on the actual interview (and how I provided further documentation).
Just seems like that's a better shot at escalating your file than the general ccw e-mail which sounds like they mostly send a "your case is assigned to a deputy and will contact you when they are ready etc"
you know what? good point.. I will go find that email and read what it says ago.. I've only received 1 email and that was instructions for my interview.. But I'll go ahead and read it again for any additional info..
Thank you your tip.Comment

[QUOTE=kjc625;26008813]I guess I'll just wait some longer. If they start doing May applications and still don't get to mine (last week of April) - then that will be cause to worry.I'm getting worried that something was wrong on my app. Is it worth sending them a follow-up letter to explain the timeline of my submission and see if anything went wrong?[/QUOTE
Several students of mine sent emails because their apps were submitted on the 1st and 2nd weeks of April and have not received any interview calls. All of them received the same generic reply email stating that they received their apps and waiting to be assigned an investigator.
They won't give you any person touch email reply.sigpicComment

Just a year ago, whom would have thought this was even possible for LA County residents.
I wouldn't call or email them. Suck it up!
- The LT may have not assigned your application to a Detective yet or they're still reviewing your App and GC.
- The Detectives all have different CCW applicants that take varying amounts of time to investigate and their current work loads may differ for each of the Detectives.
- It just shows that you have a lack of patience for the CCW process. May show them a little about your 'character', that is not desirable.
Just wait patiently for your call IMHO.
The wait times are only going to get longer for everyone as the pile of CCW applicants is growing faster than they can process them with their small CCW unit.Comment

There are at least 2 people waiting for April 19th submission interview calls. One of them is my uncle. The other is a family friend.
Don’t call. You’ll be disappointedComment

Legally you would have to apply for a serial number from the DOJ. Also you can only make it a single shot break top or bolt action pistol. After that you MAY convert it to semi automatic. I stress again MAY. Kinda legally gray on the conversion to semiautomatic afterwards. When all is said and done, better off just buying one from a private party here on calguns.LA County CCW HolderComment
