PO Box? That's not where I sent mine.

Your timeline is almost identical as mine! 12/10 cashed, got the call this morning, missed it because I was in the can and it said "Spam call", my interview is next week.

Unfortunately it will pass and Newsome will sign it. It has an urgency clause that will become immediately effective once signed.

Looks like we will have useless CA CCW’s until this is either fought and won or an injunction is issued pending being litigated.
Well that sucks. Was hoping for some good news today. When does this vote take place?

Apparently when you send to the address on the LASD site, it actually gets redirected to a PO box for delivery. I was confused too but asked the question a while back and other folks explained that, that's how LASD has their mail-in apps delivered before being sorted over to the CCW unit.

Now to buy ccw carry insurance. Thinking of getting CCW Safe.

Really lame to add so much more bureaucracy to the mix. And then, you will not be permitted to carry ALMOST anywhere anyways.

The CA assembly vote would need to take place before the legislative session ends on 8/30/22. A vote likely will happen next week. Then if passed Newsome has until 9/30/22 to sign it and it will become effective immediately.

I tried searching the thread, I am sure this was asked before, I just can't find it, my apologies.
If you completed your LiveScan, decided to take the training before receiving the Training email, has anyone sent in the Training Doc's before receiving the Training email?
                        Thank you

I was thinking the same thing. It's great people are posting they are getting proceed to training emails and pick up calls, but at the end of the day I don't think people realize how serious SB-918 is.

As much as I hate to know the answer, I'm going to ask:

For those of us "in the system" (i.e., somewhere in the processing between filing the application and getting the license), when SB918 passes will we have to start all over with the new application (once its written by the A.G.)?

I'm sure training requirements will change instantaneously, but the portion about three personal references didn't exist pre-SB918. Will we need to start over and list personal references on a new application, await LASD interview of all references, and an LASD scrub of social media?

These are all questions I'm curious about, but there is no answer to this yet.

Hmmmm.... I would never qualify. Both parents have passed and I've been married over 45 years to the same babe.
