Did they tell you to proceed with the scan or you just went ahead and did it?

I was told to proceed with Live Scan.

I wonder if that is just one deputy making their own policy. That makes no logical sense at all. Your risk while carrying $x occurs at the time you have the cash in your possession. It can't possibly depend on whose account it goes into after it leaves your hand, which the criminal could not possibly know at the time of the attack. That would be like arguing that your risk of a car accident driving down a certain street at a certain time on your way to Denny's depends on what you are going to order when you get there.

The problem here is proving that you handle this cash on a regular basis. If you can show your documentable interest in the business and the deposits, I'd say that's a pretty strong case. However, if your name doesn't show up on anything that can be linked to those cash deposits, even if you're completely on the up and up, they can't just take your word for it. The interviewing deputy is just crossing his T's and dotting his I's.

I completed my firearms training today..I went to Calguns training in Ventura..great class...so now I email scan my qualifications paper and certificate into the department on Monday....and the wait begins...I'm still in the fight!!!...Amen!!

I received my training E-mail this past Thursday...in which my training is now complete..I don't know how to make a signature timeline....from interview to training was just few days short of 4 months...good cause color is yellow

Click on User CP at the top left of the page in the second blue horizontal banner, look for signature on the left margin and follow the instructions. Keep your lines short, otherwise the program wraps them around to the next line and you run out of line capacity.

Didn't even have my CCW permit for a full calendar year. What a waste of money, but glad I went through the experience.

Hopefully OC will take my training from March 2021.

Did you drop off the app at a local station, or mail to the hall of justice? Dropping it off would make you a may applicant, which are only now recently getting the proceed to training email.

I have a question...when you email your firearms training paper and certificate to the L.A.S.D...do they send a email back stating that they received it?
And..what is the estimated time frame between sending the training paper work to pick up..

Isn't your permit still valid in the state of CA? I don't recall provisions stating that you had to continue to be a resident of the jurisdiction of the issuing authority.
